*grins* I know some people don't like it, but I figured you like fic well enough that you won't mind.

Haha...I only wouldn't like it if you just lifted the story and changed virtually nothing, haha! (But, of course, I know you wouldn't do that.) :D

Of course not. :) That would be seriously messed up. There's no satisfaction or enjoyment in that for anyone. I much prefer just borrowing inspiration. The world doesn't need two of teh same fic! ;) I have seen people who write the same fic and then just change the names for three different fandoms so everyone will read them. They're so lame, even if that isn't stealing.

Haha, it totally would be...but some do it. Me too! Inspiration is wonderful!

Yeah, that's no good...now I'll confess I'd taken ideas I've had for other fandoms in the past (when I first started writing) but, well, I've changed major aspects of the stories!! They weren't the same and I didn't post them all over all at the same time to get people to read them, you know?

Yes! That's all well and good. There can be similarities, you just shouldn't change 4 names and call it a new story. I know of an author who wrote a book in the 80s. She them republished it a few years ago with a Christian publisher. She took out the sex-elements, tweaked a bit, and then ... "A new series!!!" I didn't actually read the series, I was annoyed at the whole idea of it.

Haha, yeah, well that's not what I meant. I mean, like "oh well this character from this fandom reacted to a situation a certain way...now how would another character from a different fandom?" Change a key character and such and it really can chage the whole thing. ...Oh, uh, yeah...no, that's not cool.

Oh, I know. I was just saying ...

When you basically copy/paste, that's just fail and so uncreative.
