Journal Updates...Look At Me Organize!
So...I'm learning to better organize my stories, go me! I've been placing links to next chapters/stories so that people can start from the beginning and just keep on going. I may also add "previously on..." type links too. I saw some folks do that in their journals and thought, "how clever!", and I want to be clever too, heehee!
I'm also considering getting a paid account because while the ads never bothered me before they're starting to be displayed vertically on the top of the page causing the need to scroll quite a bit to even reach the start of the journal...this is obnoxious on 15 levels to me. I also want more icons to fit my fic pieces, haha! And it's only what? About $20 a year? Sounds like a deal!
NonFiction:
Working on a sequel of sorts to my last essay, Female of the Species...this one focusing on the women who were the exceptions to the rules set forth in the first piece. I'm going to try and focus on this today (as opposed to my fanfic) and see if I can't finish it before the weekend's in full swing. ...Then I'll likely review both essays focusing on female serial killers, edit them, and send them into the Serial Killer Magazine like I've done with others already.
Fiction:
As of now I have the first two pieces of my Hotch/Prentiss, "Suffer the Children", series which I think is going well. I'm thrilled with nerdish glee to announce that the first piece, Sleeping With Ghosts, passed the 20 comment mark a while ago which, to my best recollection, is the first time that's happened for me!
I also have the first two pieces of my Hotch/Reid series done! However it still doesn't have a name...any one wanna help me on that one? Cause right now all I've got is "Breaking the Bonds" which is the name of the second piece. I also wanted a little vote of sorts...should I go balls-out slash on this or should I keep it in a strange sort of bromance (very close friendship, no actual sexual activity/attraction)?
Now I haven't been nominated for the cmfanficawards yet which is a little disappointing...mostly because, well, you only get one shot for Best New Author and this past year was mine. BUT being that it was something of a pipedream to start (and, I feel, my best fic writing yet is occurring now, in 2010) I guess I'll just review those that are nominated and learn from their awesomeness (like I so frequently do already), haha!
I also need to finish my ficlets100 table (I've done about 76/100) and want to do the challenges for cmrossiprentiss and ssa_rossi.
