NEW YORK. We came, we Saw we kicked its
actually it kicked ours. Man that trip was so awesome. Thank you Maki and Zach for putting us up and being our Ambassadors to the big apple. We could not have done this trip without your help.
Today my calf muscles are so sore from walking last weekend. WE saw just about all we could see. We skipped on catching the statue of liberty and the fire station that was the home for Ghostbusters back in the 80s. It was the last day of our trip and we were both sore and was also worried we would cut it close to catching our flight back home to Texas.
Upon arriving to New York late Friday afternoon, Zach and Maki met up with us and took us back to there place so we could drop off our bags. After we hopped subway car after Subway car and saw Manhattan. We stopped at a place they knew that had great pizza and it was too. After that we saw what used to be CBGB's was now a John Varvatos store. Its sad how it went from

That Saturday morning we awoke and got on the subway again. FYI the rats out there are the hugest rats I have ever seen. You could ride em. the subway took us to too Central park in Manhattan. We saw the John Lennon Imagine Circle, and had a small picnic that day. I wish I could have gotten a pic of this dude on roller blades. He was wearing baggy paints that looked like they were made from beach towels. too funny. Anyway we caught Salvador Dali's exhibit at the MoMA

Later we walked under Radio City Music Hall, and ventured over to see Rockerfeller Center. From there we got dinner at a Japanese place St. Mark's Place in Grenwich Village. WE do not Recommend the Bull Penis btw.
Sunday we got up early and went to McCarren Park Pool in Williamsburg to catch the bands MGMT and the TING TINGS. This was at a neighborhood over in the Brooklyn area. We found ourselves waiting in line in the rain for nearly 2 hours. it was crazy and never found out what the hold up was . the line went from block to block, we never figure out how long it was but it was huge. We missed seeing the Ting Tings but we caught the band BLACK MOTH SUPER RAINBOW and our favs MGMT. This place was really cool apparently it was this huge swimming pool back in the day. heres a link to see it.http://www.mccarrenpark.com/
Afterwards we cut out and got sushi at a place our friends like. It was neat. you basically choose what you want off a conveyor belt as it passes your table. Its was a neat idea.
Monday morning I wanted to see more but my body felt out of it and I just plain hurt. I asked Tiff if she was fine not catching the statue of Liberty and she said sure. Next trip I promise. I also have to find that firehouse as well. And now check out the photos. New York btw is a state of mind I dig.
