I just realized that I didn't update about the wedding!
We started w/ the rehearsal Friday night. The woman running the rehearsal totally sucked, so I ended up taking over. Oh, it was annoying... We were there an hour and a half and we never even really rehearsed. Oh, and the minister wasn't there - is that normal?!?! Afterwards, we went to Molina's. There were about 50 of us. It was a lot of fun. Adam gave a beautiful speech and my sucked, but oh well. We had fajitas, drank margaritas, and caught up w/ family and friends. After that, Tiffany and I went to Cathy's house to spend the night. Since it was after 10 when we got there, Cathy was exhausted and went to bed. Tiff stayed up w/ me till about 4 or so in the morning. We had SO MUCH FUN!!!! We were talking about our secret alone behavior and laughing our asses off. It's scary how alike we are.
The next morning, we got up and went to Lawrence's for hair and makeup. I was so freakin' tired. We read magazines, munched on fruits and vegetables, gossiped, drank mimosas, etc. Cathy got her hair done first, hated it, and got it redone last. Everyone else looked AMAZING. Cathy did, too, w/ the redo. My ladies were gorgeous...
Then, off to the church. Adam had forgotten to take the programs the night before, so a bunch of the groomsmen were in the lobby of the church folding programs. I went straight back and started getting ready. My makeup artist was awesome and she actually ended up falling over my dress - literally. That made me so happy - my favorite thing is when people fall and it was perfect that it was right before my wedding. Awesome. I was starting to get emotional right before, but I pulled it together. I didn't want to be the weepy bride going down the aisle, you know?
Seeing Adam waiting for me was the greatest moment I've ever had. He's my best friend and I hated being away from him the night before! I was so out of my element until then. I saw him and I just couldn't wait to be standing up there next to him. The minister wasn't the greatest. He didn't really know the ceremony - I don't think he ever looked at his notes from our meeting. I will be writing a letter to the church about that. He read over Tamara's reading, but luckily, she got up and read Bobby's w/ him. So, that's alright - I'm glad we got her in there. Scott and Johanna sounded AMAZING. Puta had me in tears during "The Lord's Prayer" - DAMN YOU, PUTA!!!!!!!!!!! We had pictures of Petey and Adam's mom up there w/ us, so I know they were there. It was a very beautiful ceremony. Cap that off w/ Cathy dropping the ring and it was just perfect.
The reception was too short. I had fun - great food, great music, great company, but not enough time. Adam and I danced to "Your Song." My dad wanted to cut the father/daughter dance b/c he's not comfortable dancing in front of people. I understood, but was a little sad. The DJ also played "Accidentally in Love," which just made my night that much better.
We stayed the night at the Marriott Airport. The next morning we boarded a plane to Disney World. I will write an entry about that trip later.
