Weekend update...

This weekend was way too busy. On Friday, I went and saw Elephant Man at Country Playhouse. It was amazing. Adam ran lights for it, so it was just me and O'Dell watching it. Absolutely wonderful. Adam saw it on Thursday and was going on and on about it, so it was pretty hyped up. It totally lived up to it. Afterwards, Adam and I came home and watched Noises Off so that Adam could get an idea for the set since he's designing it. I love that movie... Anyway, on Saturday, I went to lunch w/ Bobby and Stephanie and their friend Justin met us there. He's awesome. We went to 59 Diner, of course. We talked about everything: wedding, Playhouse, HITS, their child, other children - we just caught each other up. I talk to Bobby all the time, but I never see these people. Afterwards, I went w/ them to HITS and watched a bit of rehearsal. It was wonderful to see Carder, Micah, and Katy... I wish Quincy and Marc had been there. I walked in and Carolyn was the first person I saw. It was very awkward. She said, "Well, look who's here" and I said, "Hi there, I'm just going to stay and watch a bit of rehearsal" and she said, "OK." Then there was that uncomfortable moment where we both contemplated hugging, then went in for a polite hug, and then separated as quickly as possible. Very, very awkward...

Anyway, after that, I volunteered for a while. Then I came home and got ready for another show. O'Dell and I saw Bad Seed at Theatre Southwest. The little girl Ananka found was awesome. The show was really good. I got to see Skippy there and found out he's going through a divorce. That sucks. It was great to see him, though. O'Dell and I had a good time w/ the man in front of us when Ananka's camera fell on his head. I know we laughed out loud, but I think there may have been pointing as well... We waited the second act for it to hit him again - that would've been awesome. Then there was the woman in blue sleeping through the whole show. Oh, that was great. :-)

On Sunday, I helped O'Dell w/ auditions for Noises Off. He's got a GREAT cast. I'm so excited he's able to use Lesley - I think she has tons of potential and she's one of the nicest people I've worked w/. She auditions for everything and is never used, mostly b/c she's so damn beautiful. This is one show where it really doesn't matter! So, I'm excited - I think they'll have fun. I'm ADing. I came home and told Adam and he just looked at me like, "Oh God, she's starting to get bored and is going to overbook herself again." While that may be true, I LOVE Noises Off and I LOVE working w/ O'Dell and I know when I need to be elsewhere, O'Dell will understand, so I'm not too worried.

Later last night, Tiffany dropped by for a bit - it was wonderful to see her. She's one of my bridesmaids and I never get to see her!! Drives me crazy... Oh well, I'll take what I can get!

Later peeps!
