Well, the Christmas show was a success! I was a little worried just b/c there was a lot of music this year, but we had more time to prepare than we had in the past Christmas shows, so that definitely showed. We were a little hesitant on some numbers, but overall, it turned out great. Many thanks to the whole group for helping out - Mikey especially. Seriously, couldn't have gotten through it w/o him. Next, we going to work on our cabaret act that I hope to do at Ovations. We work really well together so I'm super excited.
Mel should be having her baby any day now. We were sure she'd pop at the show, but she's hanging in there! It's crazy. Anypoo, I can't wait to see her as a mother. Damn, that's going to be awesome!
I've been getting really bad headaches lately - don't know why. And by lately, I mean last night and today. Anyway, it's enough to make me notice b/c I NEVER get headaches. Whatever. I hope it clears up.
Adam and I are doing great. He was at both shows this weekend - I love when he's out in the audience - I'm beyond nervous, but strangely relaxed at the same time. I don't know. Anyway, despite our financial obstacles we've had lately and his family stresses, we're doing really well. I can't wait for our wedding. I've taken time off from planning until after the holidays, so it's nice being on a hiatus. I'm just trying to organize everything for when January rolls around.
Let's see... We're in rehearsals for the New Year's show. That's going to be so much fun - it's cheesy and goofy and if anyone takes it too seriously, then they have a problem. It's hysterical - I'm really excited about it.
Shows to see: Rocky Horror at Playhouse 90 (gotta support Patton and Tiff), Jekyll & Hyde at Playhouse 1960 (if anyone saw Whorehouse then we know we're going to be in for a treat!), and Jesus Christ Superstar at TUTS. I think it'll be horrible (their version usually is, except the one they did about 16 years ago), but I still love that show and it's the only one I've ever wanted to direct. I've gotta a great idea for it... Oh, and there's Les Miz that me, Adam, O'Dell, and Barbara are seeing in January, I think. That should be wonderful - I usually love the touring productions of that show.
OK, that's all. I hope everyone's doing well!!
