(no subject)
earlier, i was at glen echo park with my dog. he was playing with a couple of other dogs and i was talking with their owners, one was like a mid 20s married dude, and the other was some middle school aged girl with her dog. all of a sudden, a squirrel drops from the sky and just SMACKS the pavement of the walking path, then immediately runs back over to the tree and climbs back up, all in the span of MAYBE 3 seconds.
the lowest branch above us was 25 feet high or better.
the best part about it was that neither of the other two saw it, they only heard the sound, which was like a loud pop, i mean, imagine the sound an apple would make falling from that high, it was just like that. dead weight.
i just cracked up like some kind of lunatic while they were trying to figure out what had happened...
that seriously made my day, which up until i went to the park, was kind of shitty. now i feel great!
