*waves* Remember me? Lost my internet for a while, but my and my husband's parents all gave us money for Christmas instead of gifts so we could get it turned back on. Hubby worked in a factory that makes car parts, and since that whole industry is pretty crappy right now, he lost his job so money's been even tighter than before. But I'm not thinking about that right now. I'm just happy to be back for a while. *hugs all of you*
Well, since I'm newly back on the internet and it's a new year, and since I've had this ready to go for eons now (the manip was a birthday present if that tells you anything, lol), check out my new layout! The banner is by angelstoy who made it from the manip she made me for my birthday way back at the end of August. *hugs her again* I've had the layout ready to go since uh, sometime in early October, I think, but got cut off before I could switch over to it.
On another note, lil_coyote put together Subspace in both Lit and PDF formats. *hugs her* Go here if you'd like to download a copy, and make sure to thank her while you're there! :)
Totally unrelated to anything else in this post so far, I'm ready to tear my hair out over 6 (yep, you read that right, 6) stories I've been working on that are all either 20+ chapters in, or almost finished (all Spangel, five human AU, one set in canon). I'm not sure what my problem is, but I can't seem to buckle down and finish any of them. Two of them are within probably a couple of chapters of being done (one's at about 59,000 words and the other's 27,000 words). I think those are the ones frustrating me the most. Then I have two longer ones (106,000 words and 95,000 words) that I'm stuck on, although I think I might have the issue with the 106,000 word one worked out. Not sure. And then there's this other one that's not terribly long (17,000 words currently) and is only probably about halfway through, but that I really like and want to finish badly so I can share it. It's probably the one I'm most stuck on concerning where to go with it, though. *sigh*
Finally, there's a one-off (4,600 words) that's been done since before I lost internet, but I've been holding on to because it ends angsty and would be the perfect set up for a series of one-offs set around canon on BtVS and AtS, should I want to go that route, which I can't decide if I want to or not, so...yeah. I'm having issues. I've thought about just putting out a beta call and getting it polished up to post, then see where it goes from there, but the problem with that is, a lot of times once I post one-offs intended to be a series without the series being done, I tend not to write anymore in that 'verse. No idea why. My muse is one fickle bitch. *glares at her*
The worst part? Those six stories are only part of what I have floating around on my hard drive. They're just the ones I'm thinking about the most right now and/or are the closest to being done. I've got so many notes for potential stories/snippets that came to me for potential stories/stories that I got 2, 3, or 4 chapters in then stalled on sitting in folders on my comp that it's kind of like...wow, if I could get even half of these written, I'd be pretty damn prolific, lol.

Anyway, it's probably pointless to try to catch up on what's been happening since I've been gone, so if I've missed anything important in the world of LJ or JM or anything, let me know, k? I'll probably scroll through some journals over the next few days, so if you get a comment from me on an old post, that's why. :)
Also? The song I have playing right now (Let It Rock - Kevin Rudolf) would be perfect for one of the fics I mentioned above (the 95,000 word one) which is a stripper fic, except that the part where Lil' Wayne raps kind of ruins it. Not the fact that it's rapping, I like rap, esp. when mixed with rock/pop, just...in this case it totally would not fit in a gay strip club, LOL. So, you know, if there's a version of this song floating around without the rap bit, it'd be much appreciated if someone could share it. ;)
