I was watching Smallville tonight, and my 16 yr old stepson sat down to watch it with me and made some amusing observations about the Clex.
K. hasn't watched the show for several eps now, so when he noticed them acting distrustful and standoffish with each other, he asked, "What's going on with them?"
Me: "They're having problems."
Before I could elaborate, he came back with, "It's a tragedy, how all the great TV couples seem to break up."
Mind, we've never discussed the Clex before, and he's not really aware (or maybe I'm just being naive and he is, lmao) of my proclivities for slashy subtext, so I have no idea where that came from, but it amused me greatly.
Then, later, when Clark took off and left Lex behind after Cloe's call saying she'd guide him to where his mom and Lionel were, K. said, "They're never going to work things out if Clark keeps taking off like that. Relationships need good communication."
*laughs*
