Abilities & Physical Abnormalities:
The ability to heal faster, regenerate and come back to life after a mortal blow/death. He is also immune to what is known in his world as the ‘Akuma virus’. He also possesses great, abnormal strength.
'Om' Tattoo: This is the source of/connected to his regenerative abilities. At first the tattoo stood as a simple symbol for 'om' but if Yu were to push his body beyond his own limits, the shape has the potential to change and wrap around his body in ominous ways.
Hallucinations: Because Yu was once a full-grown man, an exorcist who had been killed in battle, which the Order took the essence of and recycled, he suffers from hallucinations and dreams that plague him. Even when awake, Yu walks through beds of lotus flowers that only he can see. They represent time and a woman whom in his past life he had loved and made the promise to see again. He is constantly reminded of her and lives with a passionate desire to see her again, even though he only remembers her face.
Personality:
Yu is a rude, self-centered, stubborn and arrogant child who prefers to spend his time alone. Especially if it involves Alma (another experiment like himself and his only friend), whom he used to hate with a fiery passion, and wished to stay away from as much as possible… until recently.
He hates Alma for being so happy about nothing. In summary Yu’s disgust towards Alma lied in his lack of understanding and grasp on the fact that the other boy can look past their horrible lives.
When angered he has the terrible tendency to say horrible things and throw random obscenities as if his breath depended on it. This he probably learned from someone within the branch and didn't hesitate to start using. Yu is also moody and easily annoyed which comes with all his other virtues. He takes advantage of his strength when he gets into fights with Alma and will not listen to the branch personnel.
The only reason why he obeys his superiors is because he doesn't know otherwise. Much like a trained dog, all Yu knows what to do is, be tested on and live through the day.
He has absolutely no interest in shaping any type of bond and is awkward to the point of making things uncomfortable with people.
Yu is rather curious. His mental age does not match his physical age, therefore he's very naïve about the outside world and would listen out anything anyone has to offer about it.
He's very bitter about life. He cannot see past the horrible synchro tests, the confusion and emptiness he feels within his heart that the strange memories and hallucinations have caused. His mood doesn't get any better when he can't get answers to questions he has.
Dreams of a past life he can no longer recall, plague him, repeating like a never-ending cycle. His first and second lives blend in hallucinative episodes. It wouldn't be inaccurate to say that Yu isn't completely sane in the head. There's so much someone can endure from all the physical, mental and emotional trauma he went through while at the hands of the Order.
Even though he had a past life, there's no evidence that any of it is retained or has any influence on him. Yu stands as his own person in the present.
Basically Yu is the black sheep of the herd and the complete opposite to Alma.
What are your plans for the character in-game?
He will become a cadet and learn about the world outside of the Black Order’s walls. Childish nonsense will most likely ensue.
