there's an article in the new blender on my chemical romance. i don't care for their music, but being as i was born and raised there, i loved their perspective on jersey life...
"every time i come back to jersey, it's ready to put its tentacles all over me and suck me right back in. if i'm home for more than three weeks, i forget i'm in a band. i start to fill out applications for supermarkets."
blender then asks, is there anything good about the garden state? their response, "i think it gives you a bleak outlook on life, which is awesome. it gives you an edge. when you're from jersey, people act like you're from rikers."
maybe i'm just easily amused but i thought that was great.
