HIVE FEST '10

Dec 09, 2010 22:50

I've been having an allergic reaction to GOD KNOWS WHAT for the past three days. I thought it might have been some pomegranate I ate on Tuesday; I haven't had pomegranate in YEARS so I thought I may have developed an allergy to it. The doctor I saw today said if it was the pomegranate, it would have been out of my system already, so the only other ( Read more... )

GodDAMN.

I've gotten hives like that all my life, so I feel your pain. They can be itchy beyond belief. :(

OMGGG how do you deal with it!? I was crying so hard last night, I just couldn't handle it. They're SO uncomfortable! I was trying not to scratch, but it's SO difficult. :(

Benadryl, mostly. But even that doesn't work sometimes. Cortaid lotion? Cool baths/showers? I wish there was a quick fix. One time I went to the ER because it was so bad and I was freaking out from the itching. :(((

Bendryl hasn't been working for me at all. I was gonna try Calamine if the pills didn't work, but they seem to be ok.

What sucks too is looking online, I see that
sometimes it's hard to diagnose where they even come from so it's hard to prevent them!

Ugh, I feel so bad for you. I couldn't handle this all the time, I'm such a baby, lol.

The first guy I saw at Quick Care said it looked like ringworm. O_o I haven't been around any poisonous plants, so I don't think it's that...

And you're welcome! lol, my boyfriend was like, "you're not gonna put those on the internet are you?" It's not like I'm showing anything, ha.

And thanks! :'(

wait, so are you and ken past that awkward "we're not dating, but we used to, and he wants me back so he spoils me" stage? Haha I've been MIA for a while :p

Yeah, we're pretty much back to where we were before, minus living together. We're probably gonna move back in together in Feb, just the two of us to see how that works. He really has changed and has done what he said he was gonna do, so we'll see. I'm still giving him the shifty eye, lol.

ooh hope it gets better. I hate hives. The last ones I had were about 15 years ago when I took some sulfa meds.
DNW hives

DNW for sure. I've only had them one other time, when I took a cephalosporin, and they were maybe 1/10 of this and went away with one dose of Bendryl. I wish I knew for sure what caused this so I can prevent it from happening EVER again. They suck. :(

Yikes. Did you start using a new laundry detergent recently?

Meh, not really. My mom has really sensitive skin so she buys that hypoallergenic, no dye/no perfume stuff, so I highly doubt it's that. :/ I may go buy some Dreft tomorrow though, just to be safe.

dreft is overpriced crap, jsyk :/ get something like green works or something like what your mom uses, if you want dye/perfume free. :)

Oh, good to know!! Lol, it IS pricey. I rewashed some stuff last night that I thought I may have tracked home the pesticide on, and the hives don't seem to be acting up, so I think what she buys is ok. :)

HOLY FUCK THIS POST MADE ME SO ITCHY
There is not enough D: in the world for this.
Especially the pictures for day three. I mean, holy shit did those GROW. OMG.

I got hives that badly only once.
I was really stressed out, so I took a bath with these anti-stress bath bead salt stuff in it. I got an allergic reaction and broke out in hives and it made my stress worse which made the hives worse which made my stress worse and-
It was extremely miserable. :(

I am glad you're getting better! No one deserves that at all. D:

I DON'T KNOW! I thought the Benadryl was supposed to make them GO THE FUCK AWAY, not GET BIGGER, UGH.

They suck so fucking much right?? NEVERENDING LOOP OF HIVES!! DDDDD:

Right now, just my feet are itchy. I don't know why... I've been taking the Atarax and still using the topical Benadryl, but I'm still itchy. D:

And! I have the perfect gif for you next time you'd like to express that sentiment:
