So, I randomly had a terribly awkward question pop into my head that I feel like I can't ask the people around me for fear of reactions.
I wanted to look it up on Google before I asked, so I didn't sound like a complete idiot for doing so, but I'm on my mother's laptop, and I'd really rather she didn't find it in her history. ;)
Anyway.
How is it that when people have anal fissures or ruptured hemorrhoids or whatnot, they don't get massive infections from contact with fecal matter ? o.O
...Or do they, and I've just never heard all those juicy details ?
