In Character Information
character name: Yukio Okumura
Fandom: Ao no Exorcist/ Blue Exorcist
Timeline: Episode 23-25. During the time where Yukio is now a paladin and executing plan: "Jacob's Ladder".
character's age: 15
powers, skills, pets and equipment:
As Yukio:
Yukio doesn't have super natural powers instead he relays on his weapons and his skills. He owns two M1911 Colt .45 automatic pistols equipped with 4 spare magazines with seven rounds each, six dozen holy silver bullet jackets, two holy water grenades, and one pouch belt that holds various medical supplies, herbs and poisons, and holy water. As far as skills go, Yukio is rather skilled at both marksmanship and medical assistance. At the point in the show I am taking Yukio- he has just recently started to gain a slight edge in strength- in particular with the arm with all the spots on it. Due to being the younger twin, Yukio would only use his strength under great duress. Yukio will also be a vessel for Satan when he has reached a certain point in the game.
As Satan:
When Satan is in control of Yukio's body he gains the power to control the blue hell-flames that surround his body. His attacks usually come in the form of spontaneous combustion, and volleys of fireballs shoot from the palm of his hands.
canon history:
History personality:
Yukio is conscientious, controlling and ethical, with a strong sense of right and wrong. He typically has problems with resentment and impatience directed towards his twin brother, Rin.
Despite this, he has a desire to protect him and that leads him to want to improve himself in various ways using whatever degree of influence he has. Even though he is only 15 years old he has already gained a Meister title in two separate classifications: Dragoon and Doctor. He strives to overcome adversity-particularly the fear of succumbing to his demonic heritage-so that his human spirit can shine brightly. He strives for his goal of protecting Rin even at the cost of great personal sacrifice.
Yukio is a kid of practical action-he wishes to be useful in the best sense of the word. On some level of consciousness, he feels that he has a mission to fulfill in life, if only to try his best to reduce the disorder that his brother creates.
Although Yukio has a strong sense of purpose, he also typically feels that he has to justify his actions to himself, and often to others as well. He looks up to Rin for defending him when they were young, and strives to be strong like him. His disposition causes him to spend a lot of time thinking about the consequences of his and Rin's actions, as well as about how to keep from acting contrary to his convictions. Because of the fact that Yukio thinks of himself as a rationalist who uses logic and objective truth it was not that much of a surprise for Yukio to blame Rin for the death of Father Fujimoto. If there was a thing to make Fujimoto control waiver it would of been something Rin said or did to make the ex- paladin faith falter. To Yukio, Fujimoto was an role model, someone to look up to. Fujimoto was the one that suggested for him to become someone strong enough to look after Rin.
Yukio feels as if it is his duty to protect Rin, and thus is sore when he fails to do so during the masked man's attack. The feeling of being weak, despite how much hard work and effort he had put into being not only an exorcist but someone strong enough to protect his demonic brother made Yukio despise the fact that Rin is stronger and more capable of himself and the people around him. It is much easier to hate somebody then to admit the fact that they are better then you. This negative outlook made Yukio team up with his grandfather to defeat all demons, but it was revealed he was doing this to make himself and Rin become human once all connections with Gehenna were terminated.
In the effort to stay true to his principles, Yukio resists being affected by his instinctual drives, consciously not giving in to them or expressing them too freely. He is usually seen by others as highly self-controlled, even rigid. Part of the reason why he is how he is, is because of the fact that he takes what Fujimoto had taught him as a child. He was the one to give Yukio the opportunity to learn to become strong: to protect himself and his brother by becoming an exorcist.
Yukio believes that being strict with himself (and eventually becoming “perfect”) will justify him in his own eyes and in the eyes of others. But by attempting to create his own brand of perfection, he often creates his own personal hell. Part of that hell deals with the fact that he is burdened with the weight being related to the son of Satan, the expectations and judgement he has to live with, and a brother that has no understanding of the weight placed on his shoulders. This orientation makes it difficult for him to trust his inner guidance-indeed, to trust life-so Yukio has come to rely heavily on his lessons, to guide him towards being strong enough to protect Rin.
Socially, Yukio is still a little kid who was picked on when he was a child- only a slight bigger and able to protect himself and his brother. In other words- Yukio is an awkward turtle. That awkwardness often presents itself when he has to interact with other kids his own age and around females. Especially around females.
Satan on the other hand is a complete opposite of his youngest son. Satan is not only crude but sadistically insane and egotistical. When he was in possession of Fujimoto it had became rather apparent that he does not hold back his odd sense of humor; for he was laughing rather gleefully while Rin was screaming in terror while being sucked into a Gehenna Gate. There was also the time where Satan practically told Rin that he was made out of sheer boredom, though that might have been a simple lie to get underneath Rin's skin. Satan's egotism showed during his speech to Rin, when he was explaining what his goals where. In that speech he was boasting about how he is a perfect entity with infinite power with only one small flaw: the lack of a body strong enough to withstand his powers.
The only person who was able to see past Satan's acts of destruction and cruel ways was Yuri Egin. During a moment of weakness it was Yuri that had spotted Satan, who was at that point of time in the body of a wolf, and welcomed him to take residence within her. During the time that he remained with her a softer light was shined upon Satan for when she was taken away to be burned at the stake he frantically took over several exorcists in a attempt to save her and the children that the two of them had created. After Yuri's death Satan learned of her wish to unite the two worlds and planned to make it come true, as distorted as it was.
why do you feel this character would be appropriate to the setting?
I think Yukio would be appropriate for this game because he is used to having to relay on his own skills as well as the fact it would allow him to be in a situation where people will not be constantly after Rin and himself.

Dear_Mun Yukio's:
[At first the forge clicks on to reveal a young looking teenager sitting upon his bed, his eyebrows almost knitted together in deep thought as he took apart one of his two pistols. Each and every motion was a pure automatic- a thing that he had done over a million times. A dark look slowly crossed Yukio's face as he roughly reassembled his gun back together, his grip on the weapon was turning his knuckles white. The sudden clatter of his bedroom door being kicked open forced the less then pleasant expression on Yukio's face to flee as he turned around to greet his brother with a simple sigh and an lifted eyebrow.]
Niisan- you need to be more careful...
[The Forge captures the sound of Rin's laughter,it's camera momentary blocked when the twins wrestled off the bed. The winner of the impromptu fight was Rin as he dragged Yukio into a armlock and thoroughly rewarding the weaker twin with a ruffling of his already messy brown hair, playing deaf to the gunman's protests over the crowing of his own awesomeness.]
What's that little bro? You are begging for me to go easier on you next time?
[There was the sudden sound of someone grunting in distress almost as if the said winner of the fight had promptly received a sharp jab in the stomach with a sharp and boney elbow.]
I did not say anything like that nii-san. As good as it is seeing you in good spirits we do not have enough time to mess around, there are other things we need to focus on. Did you finish examining the gates?
[It was at this time the forge's view was return with the pleasant view of an irate little brother before he promptly turned it off.]

Cold.
It was unbelievably cold.
With each step further into that thick mist, Yukio could feel that deathly chill sink past his thick military coat and into his bones. "I wish that I had packed a set of gloves," Yukio muttered as he drew his hands up to his mouth and blew some heat into them, the corners of his mouth twitching downward as the heat was quickly stolen away by the dense mist that surrounded him.
"Figures..." He muttered, and shoved them back into his pockets. Pausing in his aimless wondering, Yukio turned his head towards the sound of someone else's voice softly chanting.
It was the start of a prayer that father had taught him and Rin a long time ago- a prayer used more as a superstition than an actual prayer. "O Divine Eternal Father, in union with Your Divine Son and the Holy Spirit, and through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg you to destroy the power of Your greatest enemy - the evil spirits. Cast them into the deepest recesses of hell and chain there forever! Take possession of Your Kingdom which You have created and which is rightfully Yours. Heavenly Father, give us the reign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I repeat this prayer out of pure love for You with every beat of my heart and with every breath I take. Amen."
As the last word was uttered, the figure stepped within perfect view of the young exorcist. A familiar face looked back at Yukio- a face that he had thought he would never be able to see- not after that night. The night before he left to attend True Cross Academy.
Shirou.
"Father...?" Yukio muttered, a bit thickly, for it seemed as if his jaw refused to move, due to being stuck in a sense of shell shock as the man before him ducked his head slightly as he crossed himself. Yukio watched as his protector touched first his forehead, then chest, then left shoulder and finally the right. "Yukio... You were supposed to protect Rin. What happened to you?" Shirou asked, as dark red eyes locked with his own teal colored eyes- only the thin layer of glass provided a slight filter of the man's disgust.
"I... I am trying father... I'm a paladin...Just like you were." Yukio answered, as a chill slid down his spine. Something was not right- why was the man that he strived to become like suddenly treating him as if he was one of the possessed? "A demon paladin?" Sneered Shirou, as his hand drifted down to handle the gun at his waist. "Don't make me laugh... No Brother Slayer would ever be graced with such a high title." The clergyman snarled, as he pointed the gun between Yukio's eyes and pulled down the safety lock.
"Brother- slayer?" Yukio repeated, as he suddenly lost his balance and collapsed to the ground- his black exorcist coat drenched with something much slicker than mere dew. "I- I didn't murder him..." Yukio murmured, mostly to himself, even as the feeling of metal pressed against his forehead- the feeling of a impersonal barrel. "You did," Shirou coldly answered, as his finger pulled the trigger back.
Silence. Once again, Yukio was surrounded by the silence of the mist- alone. The whole confrontation nothing but a twisted nightmare brought to life before him.
Anything else? Yukio is very sensitive about his moles and the markings that are on his left arm.
