Moving past the details not related to what I have at hand - are you still waiting on that man to repair your shirt as penance? I can either repair it in a matter of seconds, or simply deliver new clothes. God knows mine have been ruined by the weather.

I actually found a temporary replacement, believe it or not. It is a little small, but it will do for now. And I think everyone's clothing has been ruined by the weather at this point, we will all just have to wait until the rain clears to get re-outfitted.

Thank you very much for your offer--and depending on how well the redheaded idiot does with his repairs I may take you up on a potion of it later--but to be honest the real reason I want it fixed is to aggravate Renji. He kind of deserves it.

...Although I am very curious about these reparative zippers of yours. Care to elaborate?

It's a bit complicated...

Basically, whatever I touch, anything or anyone, I can put zippers on if I so wish. It doesn't matter who or what it is, I can pull on the zippers and open it up. Lets me do very useful things, like make my own exits, simplify surgery, and so on.

I can also use the zippers to reattach things, from torn clothing to removed limbs. Very helpful in a pinch.

[Loooong pause.]

...That is absolutely, completely, utterly amazing. Makers, I would love to see your abilities in action--that would be mind-blowing to see used in a fight!

Hah - it's an ability that calls for strategy, since I don't have the indestructible bones that some of the people purport to having. Though it gives me a flexibility in attack that simple strength does not. I can unzip the very streets and bury the monsters inside.

Again, amazing. I hope you never have to use it in a battle like the one we fought against the Reavers--but if you ever do, tell me. I want to watch.

I was unfortunately without my zippers when the Reavers attacked, which marked my second death. But so long as it isn't a death in vain, there's nothing to fear.

But oh, the fights I've had before... I once had to unzip myself into thirteen pieces so my body would shut down long enough for my heartbeat to go undetected.

...Oh. I assumed you were unable to use them, but I did not know that you were one of the ones we lost.

But dear Makers that is brilliant. There is so much that can be done with an ability like that!

Although, if you unzipped yourself, how did you get put back together?

[[OOC: ...This is the second time in my entire RPing career that I've gotten to play with fanboy-excited!Razer. ILU SO MUCH. XD]]

Ah-ha. Here's the trick. I don't speak of it much, because it gives me an edge in battle.

It's not really me who does the unzipping. I have a... psychic partner, you could call him, though they're usually referred to as stands. I control him, and when he touches things - usually the same thing I'm touching - I can have him put a zipper on it. So when he unzips me, I can have him zip me back up when I'm done.

You're the healer, correct? Your abilities are closer to my friend Giovanni's - he had the most incredible talent I'd ever seen. He could turn anything inorganic into something organic.

Ahh, that makes sense! That really just makes it more amazing.

My abilities are barely noteworthy compared to yours or your friend Giovanni's, or even the proper healers back on my world--they were gained through a bit of a freak accident when I was a child, and due to my upbringing I never really studied them. Everything I can do is either instinctive, or learned through trial and error.

They only work on organic matter, best on elves and plants. I am just learning how to make it work as well on the round-eared people here as it does on the ones back home, but it is rather slow going considering how little I really like doing it in the first place.

[Chuckles.]

I would much rather be able to unzip people than patch them up, I think.

That does make some sense, considering. I've heard other people refer to you as a crime lord?

Would you believe I'm former Mafia?

Back home, I was second-in-command in the most powerful gang on the planet. Which, technically, makes me some level of crime lord. I raced and killed things for a living, really. I rather miss it. ...This makes my life sound very complicated--healer on one hand, criminal on the other. It really is not. I would take the adrenaline rush of a fight over the satisfaction of healing a broken wrist any day.

...With skills like yours? I think I would. Your group must have suffered greatly after losing you.

No, thankfully. My death was at the end of our journey. We'd been given instructions to deliver the boss' daughter to him - a man no one had seen or met in person. Other groups saw a chance at a fine ransom, and tried to take her from us. We'd eventually brought her to him... only to find out he wanted us to bring her so he could kill her himself, the filth. He wanted there to be no one left to be connected to him and reveal who he was.

Naturally, all that was left was to overthrow him. In my death, I helped make sure that my group could see to his departure.

...That is very, very noble. I could see my employer doing the same thing, if anyone could actually handle spawning with him, but I cannot say that I would do the same as you did if it came to that. You have my respect.

Family is all I have. I have no problem dying for it.

But the mood has gone too somber, now. When you have some free time, I'd have no problem giving you a demonstration of my abilities.

That would be fantastic--I am a little busy lately, what with injuries and idiots all over the place, but as soon as I have the time I will let you know. I very much want to see this.
