*Well, as you all know, today was Thanksgiving. Happy Turkey Day to everyone by the way...Sorry Im a little late =P
*Well, I wouldnt normally write about Thanksgiving...but this one was a bit different and a lot more special to me.
*When Thanksgiving was coming, I used to think "Oh no, just another holiday with a bunch of little kids running around my house and making a mess =/"
*But I guess since i'm older and maybe a little more mature than i used to be...I can now appreciate the deeper meaning of it all. Afterall, there's more to it than just turkey (which i dont even like) and pie (which I luuuv).
*I realized that there's really something to celebrate there. It's one day out of the whole entire 365 day year where people should actually stop and think about everything they have. There's soo much to be thankful for.
*First of all, starting from the beginning...Im so very thankful to have what I have. Growing up when I was little was so different. My mom didnt have a job cuz she was in school and my dad was a cop, not making very much money. So we lived in an okay house and in an okay neighborhood (But I loved it soo much and I still do!). We didnt have anything. We had prolly one car that my parents shared, and my sister and I had to take the bus to school every single morning (mornings were only in elem) and afternoon from kindergarten all the way to 8th grade. I still loved it tho...I used to think the bus was fun?! haha. And believe it or not, I didnt have my own room from when I was 2 all the way till we moved into our new house. I'd sleep in my twin brothers' room or in the garage that we converted into a room. Well, to make a long story short...my mom finally graduated from college and became an RN. Then it was my dad's turn to go to school when my mom worked. They eventually both became RNs and opened up their own business. They've worked soo hard to get where they are and to give us everything they never had when they were little. Im so proud of them! =] Now, im amazed by how far we've come. We live in a really good neighborhood, in a 2 story house, and have everything we'll ever need. I even just got a brand new 2006 BMW for my b-day. Now thats coming a looong way from being dirt poor, dont you think?! And Im so very very thankful for it. We're truely blessed :)
*Another thing I have to be thankful for is my big family. My mom has 10 brothers and sisters who each have about 5 kids. And my dad has a good size family too (not as big tho) Well, thats one humungo family right there. But I love them all <3 Its great having so many people who care about you. And you kno, all of them are alive and well. I've never known anyone in my family who has died. So thats something to be greatful for. I have all 4 of my grandparents and no one in my whole entire family is divorced, so everyone's really close. I love itt!
*And I of course and so thankful for all my friends whom I love with all my heart! You know, when people grow up, its really really rare for them to stay in touch with all their highschool friends. Eventually, people grow up, start families, get jobs, and never really have time for highschool friends. Everyone goes their separate ways. You're lucky if you stay close to 2 or 3 of the friends you have now (and its a miracle to have like 4 or 5) But Im so greatful for all the friends I have right now and I want you all to know that no matter what, I'm never ever gonna forget any of you. Im glad that there's some of you that I kno I'll always be friends with and always keep in touch with, no matter what. Some of the best friends I have now will still be my best friends in like 15 years. I kno it =] And Im so greatful for that. I dont know what I'd do without you guys. Even thru the bad stuff, we're still always there for eachother. I luuuv uuu! <3*
*Another thing I just have to be thankful for and so does everyone else is technology. Where would we be without it? I wouldnt be writing this write now. I wouldnt have a myspace. I wouldnt be able to keep in touch with friends through IMs and e-mails. Then there's all the new TV's, cars, video games, ipods, etc. I mean wow, we've come pretty far, havent we?! Its awesomee.
*Im also thankful for my good grades in school...they were what helped influence my parents to get me a new car =]
*And last but not least, I'm also thankful for my two puppies...Cody and Tiger <3* I love Cody with all my heart. He's my favorite of course, cuz i've had him the longest. And then there's Tiger. He might be an expensive, spoiled little thing, but I still love him and he's super cute. Im greatful that my parents finally agreed to buy me a dog from Petland (even tho he was freakn $1200!!!) haha.
*K well, I guess I'll stop now. There's soo much more for me to say, but I think if I mentioned every single little thing i'm thankful for this Thanksgiving, I'd take up you all's whole page. Haha, sorry its so long. But I just had to get all that out. Im glad I did =]
*Hope you all's Thanksgiving was as great as mine. If it wasnt, I think you should sit there right now and think about everything you have. k? k =P
