Im alive
Well Its been like what a year since ive used this.
I am fanfuckintastic. Ive been in South Korea for 5...6...months hell i suck at math since march.
and Ill be here untill next march.
To pass my time ive been doing a lot of thinking... a lot more reading and i play with kids( not the way MJ does )
ive been voulentering at 2 different orphanages, i cant pronounce eigthers(sp?) name so well call them...school and little deamons home.
At school the kids are great, I teach them english and they teach me some korean writing or Hangul(it doesnt stick) its a lot of fun and the kids range from toddlers to teenagers.
At little demons home.... geeze these little kids keep me workin, all they want to do is kick fight each other and do chicken fights, wheel barrow races and that sort. they are great kids but they have more energy than my little brother and i didnt think that was possible.
As for education i havent been able to take any real classes yet but im 25 credits away from my associates in fire science I hope to bring that down before i leave here, been doing a lot of self study, especialy in Quantum Mechanics which has to be hands down my favorite discussion topic of all time now as well has the LHC at CERN.
My hatred of running has come full circle, durring our many 3 1/2 mile runs i often find myself hateing life. Not because its hard but because.... nothings chasing me... yet im still running.
as for the weather.......JC!!! its humid as a beast!
thats another reason running susk here. back in socal i can run for hours at sea level no humididty and a crisp breeze.
here its sea level 300% humidity90 deggres so it feel like your running the sumit of Mt everest in hell.
add to that that i am having my life sucked out of my by BILLIONS UPON BILLIONS of mesquitos!!!
I killed at least 10 yeasterday and 5 just today as they were attempting to drain me of precious fluids. some were lucky i have (and I counted) 17 mosquito bites around my body, and i think the little bastards know where to get you i have several inbetween my fingers, one behind my knee and one right on my chin!
not to mention the triple attack on my ankles......im not a happy camper right now, I itch like crazy.
Career wise, Ive been promoted since i last wrote, I was an Airmen basic(E1) now im Airmen First Class(E3) its a substantial pay raise. Im working on my pumper certification i take my end of course next week, and i hope to get my liscene on the truck with in the month. my next CDC will be on the Crash trucks for airport firefighting.
Financially. Im doing quite well. I invest a significant portion of my basic pay into a TSP and am investing in the government securitys fund.
I plan to open a ROth IRA soon hopefully with in the next few weeks.
oh and i was getting F"ed in the A for a while
firefighters are not supposed to get a meal deduction because were on full BAS but i was getting a meal deduction for a while and it was like $350 a paycheck and one was $550 THAT WAS HALF A PAYCHECK!!! im suposed to get all that money back soon so thats going to be one hell of a check
Personaly everything is going good, my better half is doing great at CCSD and she graduates with her BA next year. Im super proud of her for sticking with it and doing so good and still finding time to have a job. soon my little accountant is going to be making way more than me, im not complaining ill retire early :) (j/k love you sarah)
My cell doesnt work here and my internet here is kind of shoty so the best way to get ahold of my is probably email....which is the internet so...yeah whatever works.
well im off to sleep its like a 15 hour difference here and got to get up bright and early to run 3 1/2 miles then to start my 24 hour shift at the station.
