I've never understood why people drink alcohol and get drunk, or drink it to get drunk. I only drink alcohol over Christmas, my birthday, and at Easter. I always drink it in moderation and I've never been drunk in my life. I never willl. No matter what people say, it makes the nicest people into different people and they forget who they are, and it turns people who are already dickheads into someone out of control and can be very dangerous.
This morning when I was walking home, I saw three blokes. They looked respectable, except they were drunk and even said something when I walked past them. If they hadn't been stumbling all over the place and nearly getting run over, I'm sure they'd have looked smarter, and not even looked my way. This is at 8am and there's drunks everywhere. I'm surprised they don't get run over.
The most disgusting bit was when I almost got home. There's some traffic lights and the light for this car turned green. The two people inside the car were fighting, a woman driver was trying to push some bloke out the passenger door, I think he was her boyfriend, and he wasn't going quietly. He got violent, grabbed her shirt, her hair, and she was hitting him. The car kept moving and stopping all while the door was open, so that was safe for everyone else. I was walking towards this car to cross so I gave them a glare, he saw me and got out to the wording of 'fucking hell, fucking hell' and she drove off. I carried on walking without having to phone the Police, and he probably sat on the pavement trying to get out of his drunken state and wonder why he'd upset his girlfriend. It's no good saying or doing anything to help them, she just got attacked but she'll still be in his bed next week.
Some people think I'm sad for not going to pubs and stuff. How about screw you! If you think I'm going to mingle with the likes of stupid arseholes getting out of control and have the chance of being beaten up or even murdered, then I'll have my happy life as I am. Yes, people get murdered. Two people have died by going to pubs in my town not that long ago because of drunken violence, it does happen. If people didn't behave like morons, I'd probably go to pubs, but how the hell can you have a good time when you're surrounded by scumbags who'll be out of their sodding mind after a couple of shots, and even the more respectful people who change into scumbags after they've been poisoned by alcohol. Lame!
Remember kids, you can have fun without booze.
