Bewitched

Ugh.

I went to see Bewitched (I'm not even gonna put a link on it) last night with the Moviebears, and my good buddy bvig01 and I had a couple of concocktails and some dinner at Annabelle's before.

All in all, it was a fun evening, but I have to say . . . the movie blows, and NOT in a good way. At first, I loved the premise, and throughout most of the ( Read more... )

I think it's funny that almost everyone I have I have heard from who has seen this movie has hated it. But they all have hated it for completely different reasons. Yeah I think I'll skip this one.

Lets see if I can remember:

One person thought the jokes were lame
Another person complained there wasn't enough Shirley MacClain or Amy Sedaris
Someone else thought Kidman's Samantha was a bit of a dolt

Yeah, I can see all of that . . .

I actually LOVED the idea of Amy Sedaris as Gladys Kravitz . . . it was clearly just a cameo and I'm sure she shot it in just one day. So it wasn't like I was left wanting more.

I also LOVED Steve Carell as Uncle Arthur. He's certainly blossomed, hasn't he?

I'm still waiting to see the furry chest on him, as well.

LOL! Am I the only one who thought the film was ok? I mean ITS BEWITCHED PEOPLE! I was not expecting too much from it. However I have to agree with Tony, Caine and McClaine were seriosly underused. They would have really made the film much more comical in a less cheesy way. There were points were I laughed and points when I was like, OH BROTHER! Hmmmm, well heres to the next one!

Oh and those cocktails were really good! To ALL: Have the salmon at Annabelles, FANTASTIC!
