Despite past attempts, this Black friday 13th Nov. is the first assault of Hanzel und Gretyl downunder since their conception in 1993 and will herald a night of pure Industrial metal madness backed by some of New Zealand's most well known dark-end acts, N.U.T.E and Keller Kinder, supported on deck by DJ Mental Decay.

A must gig for fans of Rammstein, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Theatre of Tragedy, KMFDM, Ministry, Angelspit, Laibach, Psyclon Nine, 16volt, The Kovenant, Lacuna Coil, Front line assembly, Die Krupps, Fear Factory and Type o negative!

+ CLICK HERE for online ticket sales from Moshtix
($30 + $4.80 booking fee)

+ For EFTPOS/CASH tickets - Real Groovy ticketing counter in Auckland and Wellington (mention that tickets are through Moshtix!). The Christchurch Real Groovy unfortunately can't sell Hanzel und Gretyl tickets. But remember though that Real Groovy in Auckland will be open until 9pm on the day still selling tickets!

+ PHONE SALES thru 0800MOSHTIX

+ DOORSALES will be $35 at the door on the night.

+ If you're after a car ride up from Wellington, drop me an email and I'll try my best to hook you up with a ride to and from the gig!

+ If you purchase a ticket off someone else or are offered one, they will not work for you on the night as the name on the ticket MUST be yours. This goes for both Moshtix and Under the radar tickets. I only mention this in light of the first ticket I've seen on offer on trademe which won't be valid on the night so steer clear folks ;-) That said, if you are the original ticket purchaser you can try contacting Under the radar or Moshtix and have the ticket transferred into the name of someone else.

+ Bring along a Photo ID. It's not mandatory by any means and I'm certainly not expecting people under 18 to have Photo ID. It's simply to speed up ticket processing and to check your name against our list if need be.

+ At this point I've only arranged cash sales on the night for Merch. That may change but line your wallets folks!

THE WRITE UP:

Hanzel und Gretyl was spawned by Kaizer Von Loopy and Vas Kallas in 1993. In 1994, they recorded a demo entitled "Kindermuzik", and were signed by Energy Records , a small record label based in New York. They recorded and released their first full-length album "Ausgeflippt" in 1995. After several local shows on Manhattan's lower east side, they embarked on two US tours with Marilyn Manson in '95 and '96. In 1997, they released their second full length album, "Transmissions From Uranus", which subsequently lead the band to tour with Prong and gave them even broader exposure nationally.

In 1998, Energy Records went out of business shortly after Hanzel und Gretyl toured the US in support of Rammstein on their first ever headlining tour of the states. In 2002, the band signed to Metropolis Records and immediately began recording for their long anticipated third album, "Uber Alles", which was released in 2003. Following the release of the album, the band toured for a few months as a headliner and in support of The Genitorturers after which they returned to the studio to record a new album.

In September 2004, the band released their fourth album, "Scheissmessiah" touring the states both as a headliner and in support of Al Jourgensen's Ministry. In 2006, the band toured across America yet again upon the release of the 4 song EP, "Oktotenfest 2006", which also included a full scale UK tour in support of Cradle of Filth in 2007. Shortly thereafter, they began work on their fifth full-length album, "2012: Zwanzig Zwölf" released in February 2008. The album's central motif follows the Mayan theory that the world will end in 2012, and the band posits the subsequent extinction of the human race following one last rock concert.

In January of 2009 Hanzel und Gretyl kicked off the first leg of an extensive headlining world tour which included shows and festival appearances in the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, UK, Scandinavia, Russia, Romania and the Ukraine. The last leg of their World fukken tour encompasses 5 shows in New Zealand and Australia before an Industrial strength dance and killingfloor. Hanzel und Gretyl, downunder for the first time as their demand continues to grow exponentially worldwide and across the universe! P*R*O*S*T*!

Keller Kinder are a self-desrcibed “gothtronica” band who’ve experienced an unprecedented rise in popularity across New Zealand. Their New Zealand-wide performance-driven appearances (and in Sydney), along with International radioplay and great overseas magazine reviews of their first album “Kindergarten”, have raised Keller Kinder’s profile to the world stage. Promising their hardest set ever on the night, it will be a performance not to be missed.

N.U.T.E is the longest running and most successful New Zealand Industrial metal act. With International performances, side-projects, 5 releases and numerous compilation appearances under their belt, their bone-crushing Industrial metal mix has already firmly cemented their place in the New Zealand psyche and in Industrial music as a whole. Celebrating a decade of existence, N.U.T.E are re-visiting their old material, grinding it up for another strafing run.

Please note the date, lineup AND venue change from November 11th! We also had a massive overnight jump in Venue costs which have caused an increase in ticket price from $20 to $30. This was not anticipated by any party and the Transmission Room as a venue remains the only option to keep the gig all ages. This is however still a cheap gig for an International act of this calibre. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by any of these changes and apologies for the further spam to your livejournal pages, there'll be one more!

Thanks to everyone who's helped out so far! Duncan, Brad, the rest of KK, Drew, Rox, N.U.T.E, Russ, Joseph, Kate, Bryan, Yana, Amber, Sarah, Gareth and of course, Vas and Loops.
