ENGLISH,Ind.- A hunter who told police he killed a bobcat, which is protected under Indiana law, faces a misdemeanor charge, state conseration officers said.... The 35-pound male bobcat was wearing a radio tracking collar. It had been captrued and fitted with the collar in August 2005 on the grounds of the Crane naval weapons depot. (which is probably why he turned himself in.)
As I said, I don't condone this act, however I would have loved to have been in the room when he read the article in the newspaper as it reads:
It had been tracked by Indiana Department of Natural Resources biologists until April, when the batteries in the collar died.... DIED??!! DIED??!! THE FUCKING BATTERIES IN THE TRACKING COLLAR DIDN'T WORK??!!!
