VIVA LAS VEGAS

Arrived and scanned, Vegas Photos!

First off: mad props, credit, whatever and everything to my uncle. This is him and me outside The Aladdin. If it weren't for his incredible generosity, I would never have gotten to see one of the most wonderful cities on the planet. Thank you.

Click a small image for an absurdly huge one.

This is me, my cousin, and uncle outside the Sahara with our new Hindu friend. The Sahara is an off-strip casino. It's not as nice as the casinos on the strip, but it has cheaper gambling, which means cheaper drinking. This is the only sober photo from this day.

My cousin and I with the King.

On our third day we toured the strip. You can spend all day walking from casino to casino looking at all the free stuff they have to lure people inside.

The water show outside the Bellagio (my favorite casino/hotel) is the best 'free' thing you can see. I saw it twice. The first time they played 'God Bless America' while doing all kinds of nifty fountain tricks. The water cannons can shoot over 250 feet in the air. This picture was the second time I saw it. They started pumping fog onto the lake and playing 'Appalacian Spring Overture.' In about a minute they had covered the entire lake in about 6 feet of fog and the fountains and music made for one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard of seen.

lolhugeballslol. This is from the Bellagio. It's a huge stack of Christmas lolballslol. Pretty, I guess. If you're into that sort of thing.

Me and my cousin Chris on a fountain (and almost in) outside of Ceaser's Palace. Despite being one of the older hotels on the strip, Ceaser's Palace has been remodeled very well. The new Forum Shops are really cool and the whole ambience really looks like ancient Roman times with really huge open spaces and ceilings and more marble than I've ever seen. It was one of my favorite casinos to walk though.

This is me in ogling a statue outside of Caesar's Palace. They really like naked stuff in this town.

This huge thing is in the check-in area of the Venetian. It has all kinds of Italian all over it and is very pretty. The Venetian is my second favorite hotel after the Bellagio. The only thing it does better than the Bellagio is it's theme. They really captured the feeling of Italy. There's actually a system of canals throughout the hotel with gondalas you can ride and people singing opera at dinner and all kinds of really cool, atmospheric stuff.

This is me and my cousin Chris on the footbridge across the strip. The Excalibur is in the background. It's one of the hotels that pretends to be more family oriented, but that's a load of crap.

My cousin and I again, I'm pouring beer into the dragon who is eating his head. We were very drunk by now.

We watched a Colts game inside the ESPN Zone at New York New York. We sat in leather recliners infront of two 14 foot TVs with a dozen smaller TVs circling them. They had very large beers. New York New York is a very nice casino as well. There's lots of little New York landmarks inside. Unfortunatly the cocktail waitresses suck. Still, I'd like to stay there if I ever go back to Vegas.

This is inside the Mirage. The statue is supposed to be rubbed for luck, I swear. It worked to because the night I rubbed the boobie was the only night I ended with more money than I started with. Yay for boobs!

Again, inside the Mirage. This is me looking goofy in front of a waterfall you can't really see.

Yet more boobs! There is a wall in Mandalay Bay that has nothing but plaster busts (literally). Mandalay Bay is one of the newer casinos as well. It was pretty, but also pretty unremarkable. There isn't too much of a theme, I think they just tried to out-do the Bellagio and failed.

This is the three of us inside the Luxor. I didn't think being inside a pyrimad would feel any different than a regular building, but looking up and seeing the walls coming together is very strange. It's hard to talk about without sounding wierd. The elevators in this one also go at an incline kind of like Wonkavators. They're very strange feeling too.

That's it. We gambled, drank, and had a great time. Thanks for everything.

The rest of break has been decent. I wish the bowl trip had been a little better. Oh well. Patience is key in all things. I registered for a beginning Karate class. That will be fun. On Tuesday's I'll be spending six hours in the gym though. Yay for getting in shape. Overall break rating: A--

edit: my spelling sucks. Sorry. No I'm not going to fix it, I'm lazy.
