after spending hours at yorkdale yesterday, the insane shopper in me was reawakened, inspiring me to go on an entertainment shopping spree today. i spent $26 at HMV and i bought:

Greatest Hits - Sly & the Family Stone
the boy who was processing my sale read each album title aloud, and his voice got louder and contained more shock with the listing of each cd. afterwards he made a suggestion on a johnny cash album he thought i would enjoy. i told him i owned them all, most on vinyl and i was only buying the cd to keep in my mother's car. then his eyes went wide and he said that there was probably a rule about not hitting on the customers but it was probably in his best interest to ask me out. i just giggled and took my bill and left.
i never really thought about how cold that probably was until now. watching Dead Like Me gets me all emo because I see all the stuff George missed because she was a complete bitch during her life and how fucked up she feels in her afterlife.
oh well. and i thought my karmatic retribution today came in the form of a sweet Christmas card I got in the mail today. i really need to work on being a better person who participates in life, especially when there are open invitations.
