You know what is really nice? Coming home from a summer trip not insane.  Not coming off some barely legal malarial tablets (Uganda) or the general chaos that ensued on the end of last summer's trip to Ghana. No traumatization. No lost passports. No missed funerals. ust quiet. I kinda dig it.

On that note it looks like I may not be going back to Africa until 2008, atlest I won't with the usual crew. Though I am looking to set something up in Namibia maybe. But zimbabwe is out for atleast next year but its more likely we will be heading out to Liberia to see Thomas in 2008. Though I suppose I could maybe do that next summer...depending upon the state of things in Monrovia I guess.

All in all this trip was good. I am super rested and relaxed. It was a hell of a lot more boring than the usual escapades though. We all realized that we dont really do that well in touristy areas. We finally ended up heading up the coast to a more rural area which was nice. And I got to use my italian a fair bit both in Italy and Croatia which was nice but also kind of depresssing as its not anywhere near where it used to be.

I checked out the job with Luke which looks like a possibility. I could atleast easily work for the company and then see if later I can work for him if i develop the muscles to lift a six foot guy  in and out of bed or whatever. The difference between this job and that which i have now is that this one is rotational live in  and I'd be mainly working with people with physcial disabilities. WAY LESS EMOTIONAL LABOUR than what i am doing now but a pretty hectic lifestyle adn way more physical labour and more medical stuff. Its funny how the more messy and genereally icky medical work doesn't bother me but the notion of having to take care of circulation and foot problems for people petrifies me. IMMENSELY.

Anyways I'm rnainting and thsi has easily become one of those posts that you see but thats also soo long that you just scroll past it...not that i do that.
