(no subject)
Last night at around 12:30am I was going down the stairs to get water before bed, and I saw two kids outside approaching the car parked acorss the street which belongs to No. 5 (I'm No. 8) At first I thought they were just mates of the guy who lives there, but they were sneaking up on the car.
So I went to my front door window and did my spy look to see what the hell they were doing. They went to the driver's door and were looking very suspicious. I then saw them trying to pick the lock of the car. Mind you this car was a Holden Commodore VL (The one from the 80's) so it looks like they were targetting the older, less security easier to pick lock cars. They were there for a good minute trying to break in, I was prepared to bang on the door to scare them away if they break into it (I didn't give a rats ass about their car, but I didn't want them coming back into my court) but they gave up after a minute and left. I went outside to check if they were still in the court but they weren't.
It's pretty unsettling, I always considered our neighbourhood to be pretty safe, but not anymore. My car and my dad's car are both left outside. I'm not too worried about my car because it has a alarm, but my dad's car doesn't. There are about 10 or so cars left outside in my court, so now I'm worried those kids will come back again and target more cars in this court, hopefully not mine. =/
