What a wonderful way to welcome me to Alpharetta. I've been sick for the past couple of days, thanks to Sean's willingness to share whatever he's had. Chris is also sick, but he's in Baltimore until this evening. I keep wondering if it's swine flu. I don't think it's that outrageous of a thought, but I already feel so much better compared to how I felt on Wednesday and Thursday. I did just start sweating like crazy, so I'm assuming another fever just broke. Yay?
I was wondering if there was some significance as to why Harry Connick, Jr. sang the national anthem at the NFL Season Opener last night. Turns out his birthday is today, September 11.
Since I'm sick, I have about zero energy. I've tried to sit still and do something, such as read a book, play a game, or even apply for jobs. However, I was unsuccessful. I did apply for some jobs last night, but they were all retail. I figure that will be the easiest thing to get right now, but that isn't stopping me from applying for government jobs and other jobs in the private sector. I would prefer not to work retail, but I'll take anything that gets me a paycheck the fastest and then continue to look for something better.
I hope we have some fun this weekend. Chris's birthday is on Sunday, so I'm making him a cake like a good mom. Alright, it's breakfast time.
