Partially from a few alcoholic beverages last night, but mostly from 20 hours of dumping heavy shit into a dumpster all weekend. I'll start feeling better once the image of chunks of concrete is out of my mind.
Maybe I'll take some medicine.
So in case you haven't seen, I've become a hacky-sack addict recently. I've been playing for almost two weeks now, and already I'm starting to do neat little tricks and stalls (my favorite is rolling it). It's also really fun to kill an hour after class by breaking out the sack, and then playing with random passers by who want to play. I think the largest game I've been in so far had 7 people, fun stuff!
And I've also seemed to have misplaced my Die By The Sword CD, so I may order a copy of that, and expansion off of amazon for less then $10. If you can spare that kind of cash and enjoy a challenging game, I highly recommend this one. And considering all of you know how many games I've played, a game with the Dan Stamp of Approval is not one to be overlooked. =p
General idea of the game: sword fighting based off of real physics. So you do damage based on how much body motion you can put behind your swing. You can also sever any limb as well, but remember that the door swings both ways! One thing I've found that's cool though is that there is some guy out there who is modding the game. He would update the physics and graphics, but Tantrum (once a subsidiary of the former company Interplay) has not released the source for it. Anybody want to petition them?
Apparently as of today, my brother David has aquired some great disdain for me. He walks into another room when I come in, won't make eye contact, and is giving me the silent treatment. I worry for him sometimes.
Shit my head hurts.
Calculus is coming along fairly well, and though I have a pretty easy time manipulating equations and solving problems, I'd still prefer to have a better understanding of what some of it is implying. There's some section towards the middle labeled "applications to engineering" I think I'm going to take some time on the weekend to examine that portion.
Oh ya, and I still want me $0.99 back from downloading "Around The World"
"Ning Nong Ning Nang Ning Nong"??? What the fuck is that crap?
As I will always say, Red Hot Chili Peppers have awesome music, but their lyrics sound like they were written by somebody with dementia.
I also really, really need to get my ass in gear about sending in my video card. I found that it is not covered by ATI, but instead by a company called PowerColor. I'm gonna call them to find out if my card has a warranty of any kind. Hopefully it does, because Battlefield 2142 comes out this month, and Spore is always on the way!
That, and I miss playing games on a good computer. I'm having withdraws from being stuck on my laptop. Vanilla Thunder can vouch for me on this one: FEAR is a fucking awesome, and hillarious game to play. Speaking of fun games the guys have recently aquired a crap-load of old-school games for SNES, Sega, and NES. Now I have to beat Echo: Tides of Time damnit. And ya, if anybody comes over and plays some of those games for about 2 hours, and then switches over to the newer systems (anything post 64-bit era), you will find the games become much easier.
My car issues have also resolved themselves rather nicely. My Dad is going to buy my volvo from me for $750, so now everything monetarily-related is secure. My car, my new car, and my trip to Japan! It will definately be a lot of fun, aside from the possibility of being physically destroyed. In any case, I'm at least going to ensure (I don't know by what means) that I get a chance to ask Dr.Hatsumi a question (or two). I still think it'd be awesome if we could go drinking with him, too. I just hope the guys are able to make it though; last I heard there was a little shortage of money from moving into the house, so we'll see how it all plays out.
Maybe I'll take a nap as well as medicine.
Until next time, ciao!
