L'Arc~en~Ciel World Tour 2012 in Jakarta
I just can't believe that I finally, actually WATCHED Larukuk LIVE ON STAGE ksjhdfklsdhf Moreover, the fact that I
didn't have to go to Japan or other countries to watch them but watched them in my country, my town, beloved
Jakarta. So, I may not remember the whole song list for this concert so you have to bear with me :D :D
So, you see, Jakarta was originally not on Laruku's list as the country that they were going to visit for this World
Tour. Some promotors in Indonesia were trying to get them here since last year but the best thing we could get was a
live viewing. When the list for World Tour 2012 was out, Indonesia was not in it but a promotor was spreading news
that they were trying to get Laruku to Indonesia. And they did! Jakarta was finally inserted in the list as the last
country. Without further hesitation and much further ado, I bought the ticket :D
May 2, 2012 was the best day of my life. After 12 years, finally I could watch them perform live! In front of my
very own eyes sdhflksdhflksdf (yeah, I'm still in an afterglow here XD).
Okay. SO, the venue was not that big. We suspect that Sony Indonesia, Marrygops and some of the sponsors were not
yet convinced that Laruku has a really huge fanbase here so they chose a small soccer field in Senayan as the venue
(Senayan is a sport complex in Jakarta. Some of its fields - soccer, tennis, the big stadium - are common to be used
as concert venue). The capacity of Lapangan D is 7000 people but in the end, they had to get 10.000 people in.
I arrived at the venue with Icha and Riri at 2 pm (gate 1 opened at 4 PM and main gate opened at 6.30 PM) but there
were already a LOT of people there. This is understandable because like I said, Laruku has a huge fanbase in
Indonesia and most of us grow old with their songs. Plus, Rurouni Kenshin was a really huge hit in Indonesia (two of
Laruku's songs are soundtrack of RK: 4th Avenue Cafe and Niji). Met many old friends in front of the gate so the
event turned to be a little of reunion event, too LOL
I decided to get some merchandise first. I got myself a lightstick, an official local shirt (they had 3 official
shirts. One of them had the code of the international airport of the country of the venue. Like, for Jakarta, CGK
was printed on it and for Los Angeles, LAX was printed on it. So it's really limited edition XD) and a tote bag.
Then I waited for scratchbook to arrive. I joined Dea, Diki, their cousin and friends while waited for
her and chatted until scratchbook came with Yohana then we headed for the gate.
We managed to get a spot right in the middle. We could still see the stage but unfortunately, it was so pack and
some guys in front of us were really tall so we thought that our only hope was the big screen. But then Mita came to
our rescue. She got in the venue after us and she texted Yohana that she managed to find a spot at the far left side
that was pretty deserted so we moved to her and O HAY, STAGE! We could see you clearly! XDDD
A little announcement told us that in case there was rain and thunder, the concert might be stopped for security
reason. The whole area went "boo~" on this XD (It was raining a little when we waited) Thankfully, the rain stopped
and the concert begun on time.
The opening song was Ibara no Namida. And it killed me how small and pretty Hyde looked *_* He wore a black pants,
long white tanktop and a black jacket. That tank top managed to go to show some nipple and then moving to show the
whole left chest of Hyde XDDD He was so, so pretty. The cameramen did a really great job because everytime Hyde
started to wink, licking his lips or crying, they did a close up and that went to the big screen. Tetsu was so cute
but the man really needs a really good sleep. His eyebags are scary. Ken was being Ken XD and Yukihiro, too. He was
so quite XD
I can't remember the whole song list but there were Ibara no Namida, Chase, X.X.X, Good Luck My Way, Stay Away,
Ready Steady Go, Link, 4th Avenue Cafe, Anata, Forbidden Lover, Heaven's Drive, Revelation and Niji as the closing
song. All of them were so neat and this time, Hyde did his homework by not forgetting any lyrics XD
Interesting bits about the concert are:
1. They were trying as best as they could to greet us in broken Bahasa Indonesia. Not once did they were talking in
Japanese or even English. They were all going "Selamat malam" (good night), "Terima kasih" (thank you), Aku suka
kalian (I really like you guys), Kami datang ke Indonesia lagi (literally means 'we're going to Indonesia again' but
I think they meant that we'll come to Indonesia again XD).
2. Ken went out with a piece of paper and he read from that paper, in Bahasa Indonesia, telling us a story about
Laruku visited some tourist spots in Jakarta. Every time he made a mistake or mispelled, we would go, "Ganbare~!" at
him. He told us that he went to this mall and bough some Indonesian souvenirs for Hyde XD The souvenirs are a shadow
puppet (which Hyde played with cutely), a Sundanese flute (which Hyde cutely failed trying to play it), a door stop,
a gamelan (which Hyde made some part of it fell down and both of them had to reassemble it XD) and a toy that made a
thunder sound when you pulled on the string (which Hyde broke). Hyde was putting on a face that went, "What the fuck
are you giving me, man?" XDDDDDDDD
3. Tetsu's "Do you want to eat my banana?" and "DO you want to lick my lollipop?" sound totally wrong in Bahasa
Indonesia XD
4. Hyde was so pretty and his make up was PERFECT.
5. Yukihiro's arms are lksadhlfkshdlkfhlskadf so sexy
6. Ken was looking for girls in bikini among the audience but we disappointed him XD
7. This concert was the first concert in Indonesia that used fire as a prop. Totally awesome.
8. There were Japanese Cielers who came to Jakarta to watch the concert.
It was really, really awesome. The sound was so good, the stage - even though not as big as in other countries - was
really great, the audience was great, too. I think we made them cried at almost every song because we sang a long
with them at every song played. Hyde let us sung the bridge and reff parts of Anata because of this. No kidding. We
love them that much. Tetsu and Ken looked really pleased. More than once, they went closer to us and did this really
awesome jam on their bass/guitar and we would cheer on them.
Tyas, a friend of mine who has gone to several countries in Southeast Asia to watch various concerts, said that
Jakarta crowd is the best. We cheer, we sing a long, scream, dance, cry, flail and everything. Many musicians who
had come to Jakarta also said this, too.
It still feels like a dream. I really, really enjoyed that two hours of my life. I think my flu had become better
because of it XD

It was really, really awesome. The sound was so good, the stage - even though not as big as in other countries - was
really great, the audience was great, too. I think we made them cried at almost every song because we sang a long
