The roots of my tradition : Wayang Orang
Really, really awesome show. A whole lot like a musical with costumes, make ups, pretty boys (XD) and stage. Story line is mostly Mahabharata or Ramayana, javanese version.
and there's this one troupe of Wayang Orang in Jakarta and they have a regular show every Saturday which I attend religiously. Managed to get to know with some of their top dancers as well and next thing I know, my circle of friends and I are involved in their next annual big show *dances*
These people inspires me A LOT and being able to meet up with them every week and have a chat with them about their lives, passion and job are just klsjdflksdklfhsdlkfh
Senthun Bima Nugraha as Yudhistira, the eldest among Pandawa brothers.
Bima/Bhima. 2nd of Pandawa brother. I forgot the name of the actor but his version of Bima kinda look like an overgrown teddy bear for me LOL LOL
Agung as Arjuna. The third of Pandawa brothers.
Agung and Senthun as Nakula & Sadewa. Youngest twin of Pandawa brothers.
Awesome fighting scenes:
This is Mr. Senthun as Abimanyu fighting two cakil (Cakil is the epitome of evilness in tradisional wayang stories).
Lord Setyaki (A minister of Amarta, the kingdom Pandawa rules) fights butho (giant, also the epitome of evilness). Mr. Yudi, the actor who played Lord Setyaki, could also do something like this:
I kid you not. He really ran across the stage and jumped really high to kick those giants *___*
