I'm a weekend cook!
...or I attempted to cook on weekend XDD
On Friday night, I went to Papaya. It's a Japanese supermarket which located not far from my office, about 15 minutes by car (traffic, mind you). I was craving for onigiri and meine_liebe agreed to stop by there before we went to find some dinner. But it wasn't my lucky day because by the time we reached the supermarket, the onigiri were already sold out T___T But of course I wouldn't let myself left empty-handed ^_~ I bought some confectionaries and I looked for those instant curry paste but I couldn't find any. When I asked the storeclerk, he pointed me to a door which led to the storage room, told me to wait there and five minutes later another clerk came out, bringing two packs of curry paste. It turned out that they no longer stock the curry paste on the rack but they still had some supplies. I chose one with cheaper price (but it cost me around $3 -_-;) which after I looked at it at home, it wasn't curry paste but a hayashi-rice sauce XDD;; Well, I'm not sure about the difference between the two after I made it, really. They both taste almost the same, imho.
Dorayaki!! See the hiragana written on it? XDDD And I chose the one with cheese filling. It's really tasty. I want more!
Chamanju! I bought the small ones and I decided to enjoy it with tea ^_~
There were 8 manjus in a packet but I only remembered to take a pic of everything else after I ate half ^^;;
Cheux ala Creme a.k.a cream puff! (untuk ibu-ibu yang berbahasa Indonesia, ini kue sus gitu loh! XDD) With greean tea fillings. It's really, really yummy!!
and the hayashi rice sauce which I thought it was a curry rice sauce paste XDD
I went to another supermarket on Saturday morning to get the ingredients. I blended iin perfectly with the throngs of housewives, I tell you *___*
The chopped and ready to cook ingredients : onion, mushrooms, potatoes, carrots, and meat
The first step was I had to stir fry everything in a pan but I decided to use a pot just so I wouldn't use too many utensils. And I didn't get to take a pic of the stir fry process because I worked with high heat and I didn't want to burn it.
After the onion turned light brown, I added water into the pot.
this was after I added water into the fried ingredients.
I left it to boil and reduced the heat to medium. Covered it and let it boil for 20 minutes or so.
the hayashi rice sauce paste. I used four blocks of the paste.
turned off the heat and dumped the paste inside. Stirred it for a while and...
...VOILA!! Hayashi-rice!!
It tasted quite good. It was enough for three times meal and I still have some left this morning but I got so bored eating hayashi-rice so I decided to made omu-rice from it. But I forgot to take pictures of the omu-rice. I stir-fried onion, some more meat and mushroom. Added some salt, pepper and some seasoning into it. Rice next, then the hayashi sauce followed. Made the egg and it was good XDD;;
I was texting with my mother while I cooked and she got really curious with this whole curry rice and hayashi rice thing. She's a great cook but never dwell on Japanese cooking. Maybe I should make it when she come to visit by the end of this month.

and the picture was actually a printed sugar icing. We supposed to paste it on to the cake but we didn't do it because we didn't have the heart to cut Jensen's face in to pieces XDDD;;
new friends! Vin and Shinta. There were Dian, shiroki_kun and sukiyakiya being present, too, but I wondered where their pics went to XD;; *lame excuse*

If you can't read it, it read "Merlin Taxi" ^_~ It used a shield with a Q as its symbol. Riiight, the Queern of Camelot, indeed XDDD
It was taken around 11.30 PM in front of McDonald's Thamrin. sukiyakiya spotted the taxi. Yay for random fandom sightings in the middle of an ungodly hour \(^0^)/
