Takashi wondered, when he awoke that morning and saw Tuti hopping around the room trying to put on his pants while talking on his cellphone (probably with Moriyama-san who was doing his duty as a good fukuleader because Daiki-chan was already THIS close to entering Leader Mode), when the last time was that they'd had a day off together, one where they could just stay in bed and sleep in for the whole day. Together.

Takashi had always believed in the idea of quality time, but after so many too-brief breakfasts, occasional hurried lunches, and stolen moments at very crowded uchiages, even he could started to get worried. As much as he tried to spare some time in his ridiculously busy schedule to meet up with Tuti (because he needed some time for himself, as well), it seemed that he, that they, had started to run out of excuses for why their quality time together was always so infrequent.

He blinked sleepily at the clock and sighed. He had to get up, too. Tamaoki-san would be coming to pick him up in thirty minutes or so.

Tuti snapped his cellphone closed, slipped it inside his jeans pocket and turned around. A slightly annoyed look was displayed on the crease of his eyebrows. He continued searching for his shirt though. Once he found it, he scrutinized the crumpled shirt and carelessly flapped it in an attempt to make the shirt look smoother.

"Don't... Don't wear that. I have your black T-shirt you left the last time. It's in the wardrobe, I think," Takashi commented.

Tuti frowned and threw the crumpled shirt into the corner which made Takashi protest loudly. Tuti opened the huge wardrobe and rummaged inside it for a while until he managed to find his shirt from within Takashi's huge collection of clothing. Takashi chose not to help and propped his head on his elbow to watch his boyfriend storm around the room looking now for his socks. Once he found them, Tuti sat on the bed to put them on. Takashi was still looking at him until finally Tuti finished his business and turned his way.

Tuti frowned. "Aren't you supposed to be getting ready too?"

Takashi shrugged. "I have..." He peered to the alarm clock again, "...twenty minutes before I need to be ready."

"Well, lucky you. I have to go now. Come here." He leaned toward Takashi, searching for his lips.

Takashi met him halfway, even though he wasn't really that excited about the brief morning kiss. He didn't want Tuti to leave. He made this clear by throwing his arms around Tuti's body and bringing him down to lie on the mattress again. Tuti withdrew from the kiss and tried to say something, but Takashi distracted him by kissing his cheek, and then down to his jaw line, before sensuously kissing and licking the side of his neck.

"Takashi... Can't... I'm late."

Takashi tightened his hold, instead. Tuti groaned. He peeked at the clock and decided to give in for a minute. Until his cellphone started vibrating inside his pocket.

"Fuck!" Tuti cursed. "See? I'm really late." He said as he wiggled himself free from Takashi's strong hold.

Takashi was pouting.

Tuti rolled his eyes and kissed Takashi's forehead. "I'll call you later, okay?"

"Yeah, right."

"Okay, I'll try to call you. How's that?"

It was Takashi's turn to roll his eyes. Taking another glance at the clock, Takashi demanded another kiss before finally letting Tuti go.

Takashi rolled on to his back and released an audible sigh after he heard his front door being slammed closed. He wondered why he'd even tried persuading Tuti to stay, when he knew the answer perfectly well. It wouldn't be a relaxing day. Both of them would constantly steal looks at the clock, watching as hours of meetings and rehearsals passed by without the other being present.

"Tell me," Takashi said curiously. "How in the world did you do it? Aren't you supposed to be in a rehearsal for your tour or something?"

Kime waved his hand, "You know me. You call, I'm there for you. Besides, there won't be any rehearsal if the main character isn't there, right?"

Takashi chuckled and shook his head in disbelief. "You are awesome, you know that?"

"I know." Kime grinned.

"But we didn't have to meet, you know. I've told you why I called and we could have talked about it on the phone, you know. I don't want to be the cause if your schedule is ruined." Takashi pouted a little.

"No need to worry over such things. Like I said, this can't be done over the phone," Kime answered firmly.

"This isn't even that important!" Takashi was still trying to reason it out.

Kime leaned forward and gave Takashi a look. "If I said this can't be done over the phone, it can't."

Takashi bit his lower lip while studying his best friend for a whole minute. "I see. You were desperate for ANY reason to ditch rehearsal and god, was my timing so good or what. Geez, Kime~"

"Oh, shut up. Let's focus on your problem here." Kime crossed his legs.

"There isn't any problem." Takashi said.

Kime insisted. "There is."

"There isn't. I was... I'm having this thought and we all know that it's a silly one, too. I don't even understand why I feel the need to talk about this. With you."

Kime leaned back against the cushion of the chair he occupied. He nodded his head.

Takashi continued. "And it's really classic, don't you think?"

Kime shrugged. "It can't be helped."

Takashi nodded. "And I really don't like thinking about it."

"Sweetheart, we never think about it until we have someone." Kime smiled.

Takashi chuckled. "Yeah." He quickly added, "And you know that I just don't like to make a fuss about things like this. It's not like Tuti and I aren't meeting each other or something. Plus, you just don't fuss about things like this with Tuti."

Kime nodded again. "Can't be selfish."

Takashi bit his lower lip. "You know, I've been wondering about that. Why I can't be selfish about this relationship? I have every right to be selfish, right? I mean, I'm entitled to demand time just for Tuti and I, right?"

"But you know perfectly well why," Kime stated.

Takashi sighed. He sipped on his coffee, frustrated. "Why am I in a relationship, anyway? It's a whole lot easier if I don't have a boyfriend, right?"

"It's because you love him and he loves you and you're both are much a part of each other's lives and you just can't live without each other."

"Thank you, cheesy conscience."

Kime laughed. "Anytime, my dear." He then reached out his hand to Takashi and squeezed his friend's hand warmly. "I think it's okay to be selfish once in a while. You know we're pretty good at it." Kime winked.

Tuti wondered, as he arrived home that night, what was wrong with his apartment. It was almost midnight and he was really tired but he still tried to figure out what was different. He stood at the centre of his apartment; hands on both hips, lips pursed and eyebrows taut with concentration. It was just odd that he couldn't seem to figure out. After a moment, he huffed loudly and shook his head. There was nothing wrong with his apartment; the furniture was still in place, so was the television set. The stereo set was new but Tuti was sure that wasn't the cause of the weird feeling.

He huffed again. Maybe it was about time to start rearranging his apartment's layout.

Right. Like he had the time to do that.

A door opened and Tuti spun around to find Takashi coming out of the bathroom, clad only in his sweatpants, a towel draped over his head. He smiled at Tuti.

"Okaeri."

Tuti smiled back, even though he was still a little bit bewildered. "Tadaima."

Takashi neared him and studied his boyfriend's face. "What's wrong?"

Tuti shook his head. "Nothing. I just.... Nothing. I'm tired, I guess."

Takashi pulled the towel off his head and used it to ruffle his wet hair. He threw a funny look to Tuti. Tuti laughed a little and leaned in to kiss him.

"Have you been here long? Any chance of coffee? God, you smell nice." He nuzzled the side of Takashi's neck with his nose.

Takashi squirmed. "The coffee is in the coffee maker and if you want to take a bath, the water's still warm."

Tuti pulled Takashi into a hug and ran his palm along Takashi's naked back. The skin was silky smooth, and a little bit damp, but really warm and Takashi's shiver was just the reaction Tuti had been hoping for.

"Are you going to kick me out of my own bedroom if I don't take a bath?" Tuti wiggled his eyebrows.

Takashi nipped Tuti's upper lip, making him whimper. "At least it's not the first time it's happened?"

Tuti laughed and kissed the tip of Takashi's nose. "Fine. I'll take a bath."

Forty five minutes later, Tuti joined Takashi on the couch. Takashi was watching whatever random program it was that aired on TV at this ungodly hour. Tuti would have gladly suggested for them to watch the new DVD he'd bought last week but he had a script to learn and he was sure Takashi had some early appointment the next morning anyway. They should probably go to bed in ten minutes.

It frustrated him, sometimes, that it looked like they were running out of time to be together. At first, he didn't really realize it, what with his hectic schedule and friends around to keep him busy and occupied. But at some point, he had to remember that he wasn't dating some virtual character that could be satisfied by text messages or emails or phone calls. Takashi was real and if he kept being blunt or ignorant like this wasn't a problem at all, sooner or later, he was going to damage this relationship.

His ego was too big to let this be the reason this relationship would come to an end. Moreover, he liked having Takashi in his life. He loved Takashi. At the thought, Tuti took Takashi's hand and brought it to his mouth. He squeezed the hand lovingly and smiled when Takashi squeezed back.

But he had to concentrate on his script again. He was a little bit behind and he would never allow a story to circulate about Tsuchiya Yuuichi being behind in mastering his script. This task, however, lasted only for ten minutes. He raised his head when he realized that the TV wasn't producing sound anymore. It appeared that Takashi had turned it off and was looking at Tuti now.

Tuti smiled knowingly, and ruffled Takashi's hair. "Go on ahead if you're really tired. I'll catch up with you in a minute, okay?"

Takashi only looked at him and then he turned his position so he was facing Tuti. "You know what," he began, "Let's talk."

Tuti blinked. "Okay," Tuti said, a little confused, but he shifted to face Takashi.

Takashi inched closer so that almost all of his upper body was leaning against Tuti's. Both of his arms had found their way around Tuti's waist. Tuti shifted into a more comfortable position, so that they were half lying on the couch. Tuti rested one hand around Takashi's shoulders, thumb caressing the skin absentmindedly.

"So, what do you want to talk about?" He looked down at his boyfriend, really amused at Takashi's random idea. He was enjoying the excitement on Takashi's face as well.

"Anything." Takashi answered cheerfully.

"Anything? Right." Tuti frowned, pretending to think. "Okay. How are you?" He had to bite down the stupid grin.

Takashi chuckled. "Pretty good, thank you. I've just cut my hair, you know."

Tuti's other hand flew to caress the semi-damp strands of Takashi's hair. His fingers curled between the offensively silky strands. "Yeah, I've noticed." He said, smiling. "Have I told you that I like it more this way? I haven't? Well, now you know."

Takashi laughed again. "Well, thank you. I'd had enough being mistaken for a woman, too." Takashi kissed him.

"But you enjoyed it. You even abused it on the blog." Tuti grinned.

"It's called fanservice, Yuuichi. And you're just jealous because you don't have hair as nice as mine."

"That's definitely not true because there's nothing wrong with my hair and Yumiko likes it. So you just as well shouldn't complain about it."

Takashi laughed and dropped a kiss onto Tuti's collarbone. Tuti just couldn't pretend to be offended for any longer and kissed Takashi's forehead in return. And then they were talking again. Strangely, Tuti found that he missed this; being close, talking, laughing, being silly, being themselves, and completely relaxing with Takashi like this. For the first time in months, he felt really, really happy.

He also realized that he hadn't snuck a peek at the clock even once tonight. Usually, he'd do this many times, to see how much time left for them, and sometimes he noticed that Takashi did the same thing. It was really tiring and frustrating. So he was really glad that he didn't do it tonight.

But another realization came to his mind. His eyes quickly darted to a particular spot on his wall, just on top of the television set.

"Takashi?"

"Hm?"

"Where's my clock? I'm sure it was still there when I left this morning."

Takashi looked at him. "I hid it. Don't ask why. I miss this, you know."

Tuti looked back at Takashi, searching inside those brown orbs. He winced. "Is it okay?"

"Do you think it's okay?" Takashi asked him back.

Tuti blinked and as he took a deep breath, he tightened his hold around Takashi's body. "I guess... Yeah, it's okay." He just needed to kiss Takashi and tightened his hold even more, not caring that he was almost crushing Takashi. He was a little worried but also glad, at the same time. He was thankful, too, that Takashi was also thinking the same thing and that his boyfriend had decided to do something about it.

It was okay, Tuti assured himself again when Takashi smiled between kisses and kissed him back lazily. They were not running out of time. They only needed to stop the clock watching. They had all of the time in the world in their hands.
