So, as usual I'm cramming in my summer reading, and this time it's my boy Huck Finn. Well, my dad threatened not to let me go to my mom's unless I finished the book before she got here, and for some strange reason that got me going. I would love it if I didn't have to go to her house, but, either way, I started at 11 something this morning and just ended (about 5:30?). I didn't finish the book (100 pages left..), but my dad came in 20 minutes ago and said, "Hey, your mom just called.. she's coming to pick you up in 30 minutes. Can you just clean up your room a little bit before you go?" So I cleaned up, and as far as I know it had been pretty sunny all day. Or at least a little bit. Anyway, after cleaning up I came downstairs and thought about how much I don't feel like going and when I looked outside it started raining. Like.. shitty raining. Not a nice rain with warm breezes, or a cold rain to refresh you. It's just a shitty rain. I wonder if this is the weather saying something. No, I KNOW it's saying something, but I wish the weather would tell me what the best move for me would be to make. I already know that this situation is shitty, I don't need rain to tell me that part.

I wish I could stay home and finish this book tomorrow and write a really good paper. I could have time to actually enjoy writing it. I have a feeling Kulick is not going to help me at all this year. I usually need fire to start because I like impressing my teachers. But I've heard so much about how she's too easy and I'm afraid I'm going to not care about "starting the year right."

Regardless, if things work out alright, this year has potential to be really good. I just need to keep a fire under my belly.

Oh, but on another note, my neighbor's yard is looking whack as hell right now. I can't figure out what she's trying to do with all these bushes sitting at the edge of her yard. (For those of you who aren't aware of this situation, my neighbor's bushes are NOT surrounding her house NOR are they along her porch. They are on the edge of her lawn, crowding up the sidewalk.) I will definitely take a picture soon.
