I was concerned to hear that our driver did not deliver or attempt to deliver your parcel as we would have expected him to. I am also very sorry for the inconvenience and frustration that this must have caused you, and I imagine it must seem that we have been dishonest with you about your delivery.
To prevent such an instance like this occurring again, I have forwarded this matter to the manager of your local depot. They will address this with the driver concerned and take the appropriate action.
I have passed on clear and specific directions to our driver to deliver your parcel on 27/02/2013 between 13:48 and 14:48.
If this is not convenient for you, there alternative options available such as:
- Instructing us to leave your parcel with a neighbour
- Instructing us to leave your parcel in a safe place on your property
- Changing the delivery date to another working day
Once again I apologise for the service that you have received, and would like to assure you that this is not typical of what you can expect from DPD.
