Hello, beautiful people of Idoling World! It is I, Tonithegreat,* back with you again for adventure, profit, fortune, glory, and the pleasure of getting kicked like the hippie I know myself to be.
Huh. Still Toni-the-Great-ing it here? Looks that way. For a self-bestowed title from middle school, that moniker’s really had pretty impressive legs. I haven’t outgrown it? Nah. You never outgrow greatness. Or grate-ing-ness, whichever the case may be. No, the world has not yet ground me down enough to stop using it entirely. Though my new-found pleasure in connecting with other travelers has led me to use ToniRoamer instead on Instagram.
Who am I?
I am a woman of primarily first world problems. I do not often choose the path of least resistance, but I was born into a situation where I have a lot of choices, relatively speaking.
2019 is my fortieth year, a year in which I’m trying to focus on building intentional community. And yeah, that’s almost as buzz-wordy as my self title is pretentious. But that doesn’t change my focus or push.
Why do you write like you’re running out of time?”
Writing is magical. We are animals that can think in symbols and then embark on mental journeys by looking at shapes marked down on little pieces of dead trees or beamed through the ether by other people! Who wouldn’t want to dip into that?
Some things that I am:
Wary of self-styled influencers, though I delight in finding internet niches full of inspiring people.
Suspicious about information aggregation and algorithms online, though I still seek community in places like Livejournal.
Incredulous that 2019 is what it is.
