Such a long time since my last post, which was just filler anyway.
R had a birthday on the 19th. We celebrated by having a mini 2 day vacation a few miles up the road. It was kind of nice to get out of the house for a bit and into the pool/spa. We found out the hotel we were at has jacuzzi rooms (not just the bath tub with the little jet sprayers, a really real one!), so we're thinking maybe a mini-romantic eve is in our future. Maybe. I think his birthday went well. We were really too tired to do anything other than swim with A and lay about the room. Mini vacations are a good refresher.
Speaking of those, I'm thinking of taking A to SAN for a day or two. I'm not sure which attraction to go to first, but I do know SAN is one of the more "airline friendly" cities. I think she'd really enjoy that. This week, I'm looking into a few preschool centers to pop her into for the next few months. We really should have done this sooner, but R moves at a snails pace when it comes to A. Maybe he just doesn't want his little girl to grow up too fast. The good thing is that it will open up a few days so he can rest more, and A will be in someone's care. Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to be worrying about her, but that's Mommyhood for ya.
Work is great. I'm very lucky to have a Manager that is so understanding of family needs, and one that works with us so closely that she knows exactly what's going on. (Funny side note: somehow the locks on our gate drawers have been redone and no one seems to know who did it or why. okay, not horribly funny, but amusing to a few of us.) I'm still getting along with my coworkers, which is fabulous. This is one of the better jobs that I've had. And hark! I'm almost at my one year mark! Just 2 more months to go! I feel more accomplished that I have in the past.
Health... well for the most part, I'm healthy. I am getting a wisdom tooth in, which is kind of scary because I don't think it's going to fit, and I don't currently have health/dental insurance to get it taken care of for a somewhat decent price. In fact, I think I'm stuck with out it until about November. Which will really really suck if that is the case. I might have to piggyback off of R's benefits until I can enroll in the fall. I also need a few other things checked out, and a couple of shots, but I'll just have to hold off until then.
That's it for now. Time to find A something for dinner!
