On Saturday night I was woken up around quarter to 2 by shouting on Bleecker Street just outside my bedroom window, and watched a stabbing take place. A woman screamed and sobbed for hours while blue, red, and white lights flashed on my walls.
On Sunday Zach came home from Europe and brought me a purple babushka doll, a little clay figurine, among other things. Best!
Monday we woke up early and I enrolled for fall classes, but only managed to successfully enroll in 2.5 credits, so I went down to the registrar's office. I found out what I needed and just as I was about to leave I passed out. Medics came and poked an IV into me and carted me off to Mt. Sinai, which was pretty stressful. They didn't tell me anything new. My mum and I went to Nathan Philip's Square and I got a hot dog while we chilled in the shade. Kai was over when I got back to Zach's and I wished him a happy birthday while he smoked cigarettes lazily, downloading Screeching Weasel tracks onto his iPod.
Been a busy few days I suppose. It looks as if we've finally secured a venue for our Melbourne show. I was about ready to throw in the towel on this one and push it forward a year even, but our guy down there came through. I've got three essays and two exams and about 8 books to get through in the next two weeks, plus the branding work and so forth for the show, so I'll continue being MIA for a while...
