Shopping, shopping, and more shopping.
Well it's been a good week thus far. Monday I went and picked up my kayak and it was on sale. I ended up getting everything for less than the real price of the kayak itself. Not only do I have a kayak but I also have the paddle, life jacket, and car top carrier to go with it.
I also started my internship for real on Monday for the Red Cross. I love it! This is my calling in life. Maybe not working for Red Cross but definitely working for a non-profit organization where I get to help people. I don't care if I don't make a lot of money 'cause i'll be happy. The people there are really nice and helpful. There is also a really cute guy that I work for and we have clicked really well already but I think it's only in a we'd be good friends way. Which I don't mind at all.
I'm also taking a course to be an instructor for CPR, first aide, and AED. It's interesting and fun but i'm nervous because on Saturday we have to teach a section of the class by ourselves and depending on how we do depends on whether or not we pass. I think everyone will pass no matter what but I want to look good and make it sound like i know what i'm talking about.
One last note, two of my roommates and I went to Appleton and went shopping for clothes. It was the best trip in the world. I really needed clothes and I found a lot for good prices. I think I got as much as the two other girls put together and they spent just about as much as I did. I was proud of myself. And the other cool thing is that they are girly nice clothes that I could wear for work or for just casual day to day stuff. It was a long day though. It took us four hours to get there, we shopped for 8 hours, and then drove the four hours back. We didn't get back until about 3 in the morning because we didn't leave until about 11 and Appleton is an hour behind us.
I also agreed to make a wedding cake for a friend who is getting married this summer. I have never decorated a cake before in my life so this should be interesting! I am going to try to sign up for the cake decorating class at Michel's for June. But I guess we'll see how it goes. My friend is not picky at all so even if it looks like crap she won't care. So i guess it's good that i'm doing my first cake for her and not someone more picky.
