Random Thoughts
So today and yesterday.. I've been thinking about all the random projects I have going and all the stuff I need to get done at home. I really want to get the house to the point where we have the occasional project and I'm free to dink around.
Plus, for thanksgiving we are having 3 people over. Chris's siter, his uncle, and one of our friends from UIUC. So I feel like the house should be in some sorta completed state.
The problem is.. there is so much to do and so little time. I have about 5 weeks.
Here is what I would like to accomplish:
1) Furnish the living room with at least a couch, 2 chairs.
2) Finish painting all the rooms.
3) Install closet organizers
4) Get futon cover
5) Get bark for yard.
So while those 4 things seem like a short list.. tasks #1 & #2 are going to take tons of time. With painting.. I am mainly under time pressure. I have to wait for stuff to dry and I really can only paint on weekends.
With task #1.. I have to find the furniture AND have it delivered by then. Who knows if this is even possible. Finding furniture has always been a pain. We can't shop on weeknights because of zoey and because stores close early sometimes.
I know it really doesnt matter if the house is completed, but it would be nice.
Plus, there are tons of little things I need to get (ie. lamps, rugs, towels, kitchen stuff, clothes, etc, etc). I need to sit down and make a list of these things so that when I am out shopping I can look for them.
