a step toward "normal"
WE GOT POWER!!! Sometime last night, two weeks since evacuation, our street lit up! I feel guilty and I feel strange. Like I don't even know what to do with it. I've been so "Little House on the Prairie" that it was almost a culture shock to have it back again. Parents still without, but they took off to Rockport for the weekend. The laundry machine worked overtime today and I have a beautifully clean fridge with nothing but a few bottles of water in it. Grocery shopping and volunteering tomorrow and Sunday. I really look forward to this weekend. Something so simple as a grocery store and true productivity. ahhhh....
