As you may have guess, I have this nasty habit of starting a fic and losing interest in it after a time. This is a trait of mine I absolutely loathe yet can do nothing about. Most times the words are there, I just can't get them out. *chuckles at
dk_valentine* And thus my secret is revealed. I should probably join that SG plotbunny comm but I just haven't gotten around to it.
I bring this up because so far I've two fics (well, closer to four, I think) that I started and really need to work on. Atlantis, of course, and a fic
severusslave and I semi-brainstormed. A SGA/HP crossover that somehow should end with Rodney/Severus. So far, he's just gotten home from the SGC and is adjusting back to Earth time. *sighs* If I have more than a page, I'll be surprised (I primarily write in WordPad, see).
I bring this up because a few hours ago another fic idea just hit me. SGA/GW. *nods* Yep. Stargate Atlantis and Gundam Wing. Goin' along at a good clip. Duo ends up in Atlantis (somehow, haven't quite figured out how yet) and is currently in the infirmary trying to suss out just where he is and who he is with. Takes place after Endless Waltz, I think, but in a world where the Gundams weren't sent to the sun. I haven't written GW in a few years (it was the fandom before HP, which was before Jossverse so it's been about four years or so) but I think I've still got a grasp on Duo. It helps that Xander reminded me of him and I could write Xander. John's like him, too. Smarter than he appears an' all that.
Right now I'm huntin' down more Kirk/Spock fics. Almost makes me wanna watch the series so I can have a better grasp on some eps. The only one I've seen so far and remember clearly is "Amok Time". Also the bits of the Tribble ep that DS9 spliced together when it did it's weird crossover. But I've seen all the movies numerous times so I'm fairly well off.
Gonna go read more now. Ta.
