Vic blues
*sigh* So I finally broke down last week and contacted HP about Vic overheating. They gave me some software tricks to try but he's still got a fever so I just emailed them to ship me the box so I can send him in. They SAY 3-5 days after they receive him to fix him then they'll get me a return date. So, maybe a week or so overall, expected. *snorts* Yeah, right, I'll believe it when I see it. I have yet to encounter an issue with HP's fix-it people that didn't require a month or so to fix. I just hope they don't try to do any funny business cause Vic's a replacement to appease my ego and keep me from suing their asses. He's not a year old even. Cheng before him wasn't, either. Hell, Cheng wasn't even 4 months when I lost him! Vic's, I estimate, about 10 months old.
I swear, never, ever, EVER get HP computers, people. I have no issue with their digital cameras (well, not the one I got), but their laptops? They aren't worth the plastic their made of.
I'll letcha all know when Vic gets sent out. Mostly cause I'll have very little to no internet access at that time. Be expecting a LOT of twitter and LJ posts to be from my cell (texted and voice posted, respectively). *sighs* Off to entertain myself until this week's Doctor Who (S4E09 Forest of the Dead, yes, I'm keeping up with the Brits now) dls on uTorrent. Another 20 minutes, estimated.
