Mid-life crisis at 26 3/4?
So I've been thinking about my recent obsession with gaging up my ears. And maybe it's some, I dunno, reaction to something. I dunno. I suppose it could be seen as a way of preening for the focus of my stupid crush/lust/love. Y'know, more earrings, bigger holes, stick out more?
Because that's what this is. Body mutilation. Admittedly, it's one of the more acceptable forms of it (piercing of ears, that is), but that's still what it is.
I just put the two 16g horseshoes through two of the holes on my right ear. #3 and #4 from bottom. I had a time with #4 cause those are less than a year old and I have trouble getting regular (22g, I'm told) earrings in them cause they half-close each time 'tween. So now it feels like I got pierced again, just lower on the lobe. My cartilage piercings on the right ear, the latest ones, are a little sore to touch, but while cleaning them after getting #3 and #4 in, I noticed that #2 from top (the lower of the two) is more sore than the top one (#1).
I think I mentioned the 12g I've got on my #1 lobe holes. They're shaped like a question mark, only without the dot. I like them. And I can turn them so that I can get them to come out through the inner loop, which is neat. But I took one out in my effort to get #4 to open and I saw the hole for the first time bare. It's pin-head, but there's a hole clear through my ear. *thinks this is VERY cool*
I was told that even when the holes are the size of a nickel that they'd still heal closed. I only want my about pinky sized. I eyed the earrings at Rebecca's (new age store--wicked awesome place) and I think I wanna go all the way to 0g. Maybe a little bigger, haven't decided yet. I first started this so I could wear the cute plugs, but there's some awesome stuff the lower g you go.
