Update from computerless land! My ADD shows in this, jus' fair warning...
So I sent Cheng back today with FedEx and sometime this week should get the new comp, which I have yet to name. I was TOLD it would be here tomorrow, on the 14th. Or rather, that was the ship from factory date. If it isn't here by Friday, I'm calling to ask where the hell my comp is. Seriously folks, just stay the hell away from Hewlett-Packard. They're nothing but trouble.
In other news, evidently there's a new Star Trek coming out. WTF?! Dudes. *face palm* I dunno whether to be happy or scared. Happy cause, yay, Star Trek, but scared because the last few (and, hey, found out that there WERE 4 TNG movies: Generations, First Contact, Insurection and Nemesis) weren't too good. And I'm talking about FC, I and Nem, of course. Gods, I about died laughing watching FC last night. I mean, seriously, could they be any more camp? Oi.
Can't wait for SGA S4 to come next month. Okay, I could do without Carter, but hey, Rodney! John! Radek!! Whee! The promos are good, but they all seem to highlight the fact that Amanda Tapping is coming to Stargate. I get it already, people, now stop bombarding me with clips of longhaired!Carter in command red!!
Oh, reminds me, I've seen stuff about the S3 DVD set being out? I didn't think it came out until next month. Oi. Something else I'll have to order after tomorrow when I get my student money and pay for the education I'll probably never ever complete. Leaving here and pickin' Peggy up at 11AM, so I need to get up around 9 or so. Oi. Then a week from today (gods, only MONDAY!?!) I start school again. Whee! Now AH and CS might be reversed. I jus' know one is on Tues and one is on Thurs and they are double classes instead of the normal length, hence the once a week. I drive with Peggy Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays cause we share CS and AH and until I found out I failed Eng 101 again, we HAD shared Eng 102 on Monday nights at 7PM. Wednesdays are my own.
Yeah, I know, on Mondays I'll be staying there for hours when I don't have to, but I promised Peggy we'd drive together and I can always use the time studying. She says she can probably get Carlos (her hubby--sweetest guy on the PLANET) to pick her up at 9:30-ish after English on Mondays so I don't have to stay so late, but I don't mind. Can always get on the comps if I get tired of homework anyway.
The thing I'm worried about is driving at 11 or so at night. Not a prob the first half of the semester, but later on after Daylight Savings it'll be difficult. I have probs driving at night at the best of times and I remember last year was bad for fog. Not much snow, but lots of bad fog. I hate driving in fog. We have too many curves and my night vision sucks while driving.
Wrote a monster fic this weekend, I think I mentioned it. 10 notebook pages long and dear gods, I didn't think it'd ever end. It's probably best classified as crack!fic cause it involves three of DH's characters: Rodney, Emmett and Grant. Takes place during the summer just after Rodney turns 14 and just before he heads off to university. Set in the RP-verse, but probably an AU of the RP. So an AU of an AU. Oi.
But the bunny came to me last week and it wouldn't leave me alone until I got it out. VERY hot smut near the end, too. Oi. I actually had to stop writing it because it was frying my brain. That so rarely happens when I write/RP smut. Sent it off to Meg, so she should get it in a couple of days. I would have typed up a copy to keep (I wrote too many notes on the original to NOT send it), but I was just so damned tired of even THINKING about that mini-verse/plot that I jus' packed it up. So Meg, hon, if you could pretty please email me a copy of it? I'd like to post it on sga_6degrees, at least. Since, y'know, it covers a few of DH's characters? *snorts* Oi, but talk about crack!fic...
Okay, I'm gonna go now, I think. I've got about 15 more minutes of my allotted time before someone can kick me off. Not that it's likely since the library closes at 5 and it's 4 right now...still. So, yeah, I'm alive. Just bored out of my fucking skull. Oi. A month without a comp. *headdesk* Gods above, this has been hell and I can't wait until it's over. Ta, folks.
