My life for the last bit
So several things've happened.
On the 21st imagechild worked her evil magic and lured me into a truly evil game called Notpron, my progress of which I am covering here at another of my dozen LJs. It WAS an LJ I was usin' t' test layouts at. Now I'll also use it for Notpron progress. If there's ever spoilers, I'll post notices and warnings.
I'm currently on Level 16. This riddle isn't for the faint of heart. Something I wish she'd told me 'fore gettin' me into this damned thing. Helped me an' ravenlaughing along until Level 10 then said "Oops, gotta run, have fun!" Evil, evil woman.
It took me five days to get out of Level 10 and all because I have horrible hearing. Which, seriously, I do. A lot of times I ask folk to repeat themselves cause I don't understand them the first time and they think I'm kidding. I'm not. I honestly didn't understand what they said. And when I try to explain, they don't believe me. *rolls eyes* Did no one ever think there was a reason that, as a child, when people told me to whisper and I told them I was, they said I was speaking 'normally'? I have a loud voice. I prefer to have closed captioning on when I'm watching TV (well, certain programs. Such as DVDs when I know it isn't gonna mess up. TV CC messes up too much) cause sometimes I can't understand what's being said. There's a reason I half-speak with my hands! Duh! *rolls eyes* If I thought I wasn't too old to learn, I'd take sign language classes.
Anyway.
Next was the doc app that was SUPPOSED to be today was rescheduled for the 28th of Aug. Lovely. I was supposed to have various meds checked today. Oh well. I just hope they don't question my judgement on taking myself off the Stratera and puttin' myself back on the Ritalin and just send me my Rit prescription because I run out next Monday.
I will post pics from vacation. It's just that one set hasn't come in yet. Evidently they got lost. They've been found and are on their way, finally. When they come in, I'll sort 'em and scan 'em and set 'em up and picspam y'all to within an inch of yer lives. *grins* Hell, might even get a pic or two of me tossed in for free. If y'all ask nicely. ;)
I've had it with my mouse. For the last few months I've been usin' th' keyboard handicap mouse (keypad mouse) cause the left click on the mouse stopped working. Today the optical mouse I ordered from ABC Distributing came in and I've spent all day gettin' used to it. It's faster than I'm used to. Also...it's weird that I can hold it up about half an inch over the desk and it still moves. Cause it reaches the end of the mousepad and I need to move it, y'know? And I got unused to the clicking. It's so noisy...and I keep going back to the keyboard and clicking the 5 on the keypad (the equiv of the left click) before remembering "Oh, wait, working mouse now!" Heh. I'm happy.
And finally...
For this week I work. As with March and May, I'm tempin' for th' cleanin' lady. Only I'm usin' her sign in ID so I'll be makin' $6-something an hour. So on the 14th of Aug I'll be roughly $60-something richer. And that money is helpin' college. Sweet. It's jus' this week workin', yeah, but still.
Orientation is Wednesday. Shower tomorrow night, wake up between 6 and 6:30 (haven't decided), leave no later than 7:20, arrive between 8 and 8:15 (allowing 15 minutes for traffic once I'm in town), find parking, find whatever room I'm going to, get settled and it all starts at 8:45. Ends sometime around...*checks paperwork...reads...blinks...slowly puts it down* Oh. Check in starts at 8:45. Show starts at 9. Hm. So I can leave at 7:30. *nods thoughtfully* Okay. Anyway. Ends around 3-ish. Lunch'll be served, dress casual, blah blah blah. Tour campus, make friends...
With my people skills? *snorts* And I don't care what you girls say. My inter-personal skills are about as good as Rodney's. I can't explain how they're Radek's level of better on the net. They just are. But face to face? Uh uh. I'm Rodney. Give me half a chance to get comfy and I will spill my entire life story. Hell, I do that anyway on here. There's a reason I play him so well, evidently.

So. Yeah. Anyway. I'm gonna go read now.
And. Yeah. I know. I've been tight lipped on the Gates this week. That is because the last thing I wanna do is get into a fistacuffs with my friends and pull a Rodney because we just know that they are wrongwrongwrong this week about the reasons why characters acted the way they did. So I've tried to keep quiet about it. All I'll say is, is that I loved both eps with an undying passion and that Hewlett, Paul, Joe and Torrie are probably the best actors in the known universe. Oh. And Claudia Black because this morning I watched a Farscape ep and the differences between Aeryn and Vala? Damn.
