This is loosely based on the NG's of that SuJu mini-drama episode. It's not really my best but I'm posting it regardless.

film runs out
super junior, kangin/eeteuk, pg, circa 800 words, attempting-realism-but-actually-turning-out-ridiculously-fluffy, i don't own and this never happened, except for the non-gay parts that did. spoilers for said mini-drama episode if that doesn't go without saying.

“Cut.”

Kangin bursts into laughter, his hands on Eeteuk's shoulders, and Eeteuk laughs, too. It's funny, the two of them, like that, the whole mini-drama skit, and the banjun - the twist.

The twist that Eeteuk isn't really gay, but Kangin sort of is, and that's funny in itself, Eeteuk guesses. He doesn't know - they wrote it in a hurry, thinking of some scenario that couldn't actually happen, but would make for amusing scenes. Eeteuk NG's the crying scenes because it's so funny, and the kiss scenes also because it's funny, Kangin so close to him right there, and the fact Kangin's kissing his forehead.

Everything's funny and Kangin NG's a lot, too. It's 2 am and they've been up for 20 hours non-stop. Everything becomes funny.

Kangin sits under the blanket while they set things up for the next scene, and Eeteuk sits close by. He's not really thinking about anything when his hand slips under the blanket and sort of pets Kangin's thigh for a moment, just touching in what he hopes is reassuring affection. He pets a lot of the members. He likes to make people happy, or at least pretend his actions make people happy.

“Getting in character?” Kangin jokes and Eeteuk stops moving his hand, and laughs, suddenly embarrassed.

“I'm very method in my acting,” he says, continuing the joke, and maybe he's too tired for this, or too energized, can't decide which but it always feels nice when Kangin is this close.

Kangin worries for him, which Eeteuk finds ridiculous sometimes, and fantastic other times. Everybody else leaves the worrying to Eeteuk himself, because it's his job to worry, and he's very good at it, organized worrying and constant stress, but he deals. The other members know he'll be fine, which he will, but Kangin sometimes doesn't, and worries, saying things like, “Are you sure you can handle this, oldie?” by joke - but meaning it - and making calls to make sure Eeteuk's eaten. Of course he's eaten, eventually, a couple of missed dinners aren't a big deal, but Kangin thinks they are. Ridiculous.

They act out a scene where they're asleep and Kangin's hand is in Eeteuk's. The beds are uncomfortable and it's difficult to act peaceful sleeping, so Eeteuk focuses on Kangin's hand against his own. Soft touch, nice, intimate but somehow not as weird as it ought to be. Apart from people watching them.

“Cut.”

Kangin's hand stays in Eeteuk's, and one finger sort of strokes Eeteuk's palm. It could be a joke, but Eeteuk's not laughing, not even when it tickles.

They shoot another scene - so tight for time - and during the pause that follows, Kangin hears about an actress arriving on the set of the show they're doing tomorrow, or something, Eeteuk's not really up on the topic of discussion. He just sees Kangin's glee, and finds it funny, because in the mini-drama thing, Kangin likes him and not girls at all. It's not really funny, that Kangin's actually very straight and has girlfriends and crushes actresses and all that very regular straight guy stuff. It's not that Eeteuk doesn't, no, but he's just busy, he has things on his mind, and things like girls doesn't really come up as an option to consider. Well, it does, whenever he sees Kangin text somebody and fill the message with heart emoticons, but he doesn't ever actually consider.

He just considers Kangin, and how nice Kangin is, in so many ways, and how he wishes - sometimes - that Kangin would be so happy to see him as some random pretty actress, who he doesn't even really know.

It's a weird sort of jealousy, tiny punch in his gut and he does something to catch Kangin's attention, not because he wants it all for himself - not like that, he's not actually, it's just a mini-drama thingy they're shooting, it's not really love and it's not really jealousy - but because he doesn't want anybody else to have it.

Kangin. His.

He considers the thought, and decides he likes it. He's not going to make it happen, though he could, he guesses, but instead he'll let Kangin decide.

He keeps his hand on Kangin's shoulder when they meet the actress in question.

The actress smiles, Kangin smiles, and Eeteuk smiles even brighter, so that Kangin has to look at him. Kangin does, a stare that starts as a glance in his direction.

His Kangin. A stupid thought goes through his head, maybe it's already happened - that Kangin has already decided.

He almost laughs at it, and Kangin turns to him, a whisper in his ear.

“What's so funny?”

“Love is,” Eeteuk replies and Kangin gives him a quizzical look but says nothing, not even when Eeteuk's fingers find his.

This isn't a stupid drama so Eeteuk doesn't hold Kangin's hand over his heart, confessing, “You're here.”

It goes without saying.
