Yeah, I can't manage anything proper nowadays.

this_is_cd There's nothing wrong with a little skinship. Or a ton, even though Kibum doesn't know how to react to Donghae's casual arm around his neck, the casual hand on his hip, the breath tickling his neck, making his heart rate pick up, oxygen being sucked out of the room suddenly. Donghae probably doesn't notice it, his hand covering Kibum's over the computer mouse, clicking at some online game Donghae is trying to teach him, Donghae's simply being himself. Donghae who pulls him along to skip some dull school ceremony, Donghae who he ends up hiding with in the toilets, and laughing at something stupid, Donghae who finally kisses him. Kibum's never been quite good with the what-comes-next so he focuses on the now, kissing Donghae back like everything ever has lead up to this point, which it hasn't really, but that's just kind of how it feels like.

this_is_cd Fanservice is okay with Donghae because Donghae's a little weird like that anyway, so it doesn't really mean anything except what it is, fake this and that. Sungmin, however, smiles and knows and whenever they kiss and hug or whatever for the cameras (it's always for the cameras, Eunhyuk thinks - knows), Eunhyuk feels awkward, like it's actually intimate when it's not.
It's not.

boycottbananas Kibum has a set of standard responses to everything and anything, and Heechul knows them better than he wishes. Indifferent, amused, annoyed (but looking mostly indifferent). Heechul tests it out. He breaks a cup, and Kibum is indifferent. A cell phone - and Kibum is amused. Something of Kibum's - and Kibum is annoyed, silently so, and Heechul can't get a bigger reaction out of him no matter what. Heechul pesters and pokes and gives up, groaning finally, "How the hell did you ever get to be an actor?" and Kibum is amused.
"How do you know this is not acting, hyung?" he asks, and just then Heechul knows why they're best friends, and why they'll always remain that.

happiestwhen "You can't ask her out, I want to ask her out," Hyukjae says and doesn't want to remind Junsu he is elder and he is also better, and he could kick Junsu's ass and have him on the ground within five minutes, begging Hyukjae not to fist him in the face, but then Hyukjae remembers they're not 12 anymore so maybe they're past that sort of stuff.
"Well, finders keepers," Junsu says and Hyukjae scowls, the girl's been in their class for ages, nobody found her, certainly not Junsu who always loses all of his crap.
"She's going to go with In-hoon anyway," Hyukjae lies as the next best thing and Junsu's disappointed, so they just decide to not get dates at all as that means they get to just hang out and look at all the girls and isn't that really what it's supposed to be all about?
"Like, why limit," Junsu says at the party, "there's plenty of me to go around, and if they want second best, there's you."
No girls actually talk to them during the evening, but that's okay, too.
And since now I know what Suju members bunk together in the same space, some room-mate drabbles!
shindong/donghae
"I think I love you," Donghae said and Shindong dropped his box of stuff on the floor.
"Say what?"
"Said Romeo to Juliet."
Shindong frowned. "Don't mess around like that from now on, okay?"
"This is going to be great," Donghae said, smiling widely. "Just us two and the ocean."
"The ..ocean?"
Donghae grabbed a rolled up poster from Shindong's box and rolled it open against one of the walls. "Ocean!"
"That's the sky," Shindong said, staring blankly at Donghae's accomplishment.
"Who can tell them apart anyway," Donghae wondered out loud. "Hyung, I'm really happy to live with you."
"Thanks, Donghae-sshi," Shindong said tiredly as he sat down on the bed. "I'm glad you feel that way."
teukchul
"Dear Kim Heechul," Hankyung reads out loud from the bathroom mirror, "stop stealing my stuff. With regards, Park Jungsu."
"Did you read what it says under that?" Donghae asked as he walked past the bathroom.
"Dear Park Jungsu," Hankyung reads. "What is that word?"
"Fuck," Donghae says. "Fuck ..you."
"Ahh, yes," Hankyung replies, smiling happily at the realization. "I know that one."
hankyung
Heechul waltzes in like the room is his, and Hankyung has to shove him out of it.
"I have to do my homework," Hankyung attempts to explain.
"I am your Korean lesson," Heechul says. "Do me."
"Gross," Hankyung says.
"Your vocabulary's improving."
Hankyung sighs. "You can stay if you're quiet."
And for whatever odd reason, Heechul stays and stays quiet, eyes only occasionally moving from the magazine onto Hankyung perched over his textbooks.
eunhyuk
"When fans ask you why you don't share a room with anybody, what will you reply with?" Donghae asks him.
"Body hygiene," Shindong exclaims from the kitchen.
"Yeah, I'm the only one who takes care of it," Eunhyuk says, frowning. "I got it by lottery. It's not a big deal."
"It's because you stay up so late," Yesung says.
"Talking to Junsu online," Sungmin continues.
"Masturbating," Donghae finishes.
"I do not!" Eunhyuk yells, blushing furiously.
"I'm not saying the two are related," Donghae defends himself.
"Which two?"
"Junsu and masturbation."
"You're disgusting!" Eunhyuk gets up but Donghae pulls back down on the sofa.
"Christ, buy a sense of humor, hyung," Donghae says with a smile.
"This is why I have my own room," Eunhyuk mutters.
kangin
Eeteuk is grinning so hard Kangin is afraid his face will break.
"Great. Kind of cramped, isn't it?"
"Seoul rents, y'know how it is," Kangin says with a shrug.
"Yeah, of course." A pause. "Hey, the shower looks really great."
"It's, yeah, renovated."
"Fantastic."
"Yup."
"Your own kitchen, too. I mean, not that you cook."
"No."
"I mean, Ryeowook-sshi usually cooks. Hankyung. Shindong. Did you know Hyukjae could make black bean noodles?"
"Black bean noodles?"
"He made them the other day. Delicious."
"That's cool."
"It was."
"Yeah."
"But I suppose you order in..?"
"Or eat out. You know."
"Yeah."
"With you guys.."
Eeteuk is facing the sink, back to Kangin. "I should get going."
"Date?"
"Kiss the Radio."
"Oh, right." Kangin feels like an idiot. "I guess after we could meet for drinks, whatever, Shindong invited me and--"
"Yeah, I don't know," Eeteuk says, with the tone that translates 'excuse', "I'm going to be really tired. See you at rehearsal tomorrow."
He smiles, one last time, just as fake as to begin with, and Kangin mutters 'bye' and it's takes him ten minutes to realize he could've walked Eeteuk to the car.
He just thought it'd be easier like this. So much easier.
It isn't.
What! Angsty Kangteuk? By me? I'm so sorry you guys! Guess everybody's gotta do it once.
