Free Food
I am officially a broke graduate student. Today we were having a guest speaker come and give a seminar which meant that I knew in advance that there would be free lunch. I was kind of excited about it. Then as I was going to class I realize that there was also a free food cookout housed by SGA. I was so disappointed because my too free food days were the same day! So what did I do? Well the cookout was supposed to occur while the seminar was talking place... but I got there early and was first in line and got my plate right in time for the seminar to start. Then I saved the lunch that the department provided (a sub sandwich) and it is going to be lunch tomorrow. Plus I also snagged one of the left over sandwiches, so it is going to be lunch for Wednesday. So that means free lunch for half of the week. What about dinner? Well tonight I had signed up for a Red Cross Blood Drive Donorama because whenever you go to a Donorama event they give you free food. So I got free dinner tonight. And I was one of the last ones to donate and they had a lot of leftover food. They asked me if I wanted seconds before I left, and I got some to go. Free dinner tomorrow night too! I'm quite pleased with myself right now.
