*laughs* Oh, god. Um, revealing answer is revealing but honestly? Because I relate to it so damn well.
I've always been into slash simply because I'm really no a girly girl at all, especially when it comes to relationships, and it's very rare to find a het pairing that doesn't make me irritated at all the rampant gender stereotyping. I hate talking about my feelings. All those romcom cliches make me roll my eyes. Grandiose romantic gesture make me vomit. I hate roses and love poems and candlelit dinners. I'm the kind of girl who considers curling up on the couch to watch a zany heist movie with a dog and a home-cooked meal, or watching a bad reality show and yelling snarky comments at the screen to be the height of romance. See why Bradley and Colin are so very much the types of boys I'd find so easy to relate to and write?
Also, my first big gay pairing when I was fourteen or so was Remus/Sirius. Ever since then I've had a big, big thing for gay or straight pairings where it's the unapologetically nerdy type with a bit of a wicked streak paired up with the outgoing, popular type who falls utterly for them because they're just so damn interesting and cool with who they are and make them laugh. Unsurprisingly, I'm an unrepentant nerd with a wicked streak and a silly/sarcastic sense of humor who tends to fall for guys who are all around nice guy's-guys that respect me for exactly who I am.
Zoom in on the feet here. Apparently they play footie a lot.
Actually myfoolisheart and I were bored around New Year's so we went through gealach_ros's year in review post and it's kind of amazing how right around September the tone changes completely in their interactions. Suddenly they go from being blokey friends to staring at each other and getting in each other's space and the whole "bromance" thing starts up and then the roadtrip... well. I'm just guessing around that time they got on the cluebus.
LOL. You were bored. Have to lol about the footie picture. It could just be the angle of the feet in the picture but the fact that Colin is taking pictures of Bradley was really telling. :D
