OOH, DAEMONS ARE SUPER-INTERESTING. I do have to disagree with you and the BB, though. I think hockey players would have very different daemons. I'd be surprised if they had any non-carnivorous daemons, but I think they're a bit more multifaceted than that. And I have thought about this a lot, because A Person Who Shall Remain Nameless is scribbling a Harry Potter AU and so I (because I'm a nerd), went through and figured out the wands for, like, the entire Blackhawks organization. And it was a lot more diverse than you would think! Though I totally agree that Geno's would be a grizzly bear and Kaner would have some sort of ferrety creature. Like, Tazer I would think would be some sort of owl or maybe a raptor. Solitary, majestic, judgmental. I'm not sure Sid's would be as big or as outright aggressive as a polar bear. Sid's always reminded me a lot of a cat, though I think he'd probably be something more like a bobcat or lynx. I MEAN I COULD KEEP GOING WITH PRETTY MUCH ANY PLAYER, but basically I would say that yes, all carnivores, no, not all wolves.
Also I feel like Geno would often come to the rink with his daemon and like, play shinny against the giant bear. For fun. That's how he rolls!
