The Two Democratic Parties

matrygg pointed me to a patgund article about Hillary and Obama's respective parties, which told me something I didn't know.

Not only is Clinton a Republican in Democrat drag, she's a closet Dominionist Christian and member of The Family.

Like Upton Sinclair said, When Fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.

EDIT: I also think she's just craven enough to try to sink Obama now, thinking that she'll stand a better chance at the Big Chair after 4 years of McCain than after 4 (or 8) years of Obama.

I absolutely think she'd do that to the country if it advanced her cause.

Even the Reason mag article to which you link suggests support for the right of Hillary is that they think she's easier to beat and they want Obama and Clinton to keep going at it as long as possible to give the Republicans a better chance of winning. So where's the proof that Republicans would be happier with Clinton as prez than Obama?

Even if her policies are closer, it seems to me that most Republicans are so blinded by their hate for her that wouldn't be able to think rationally about what direction each candidate for the Democrats would take them.

(And until the controversy over the comments of Rev. Wright, I was sure Obama had the nomination in the bag. Now I'm thinking that if he does become the nominee, the Republicans will be playing clips of his sermons - especially the "God damn America" line - non-stop.)
